La Recoleta Cemetery
The Recoleta Cemetery is a famous cemetery in the city of Buenos Aires, Argentina. It is located in the neighborhood of Recoleta and contains the graves of well-known people. It is one of the most popular tourist attractions in the city, famous for its numerous and imposing mausoleums and vaults adorned with marbles and sculptures. Its architectural value is a sample of the times when Argentina was an emerging economic power at the end of the 19th century, and the more affluent families of the city began to move to the area of Recoleta and build splendid pantheons in the cemetery. Many of its mausoleums and vaults are the work of important architects and more than 90 have been declared a National Historic Monument. The cemetery itself has been considered a National Historical Museum since 1946.
El Ateneo Grand Splendid
Ateneo Grand Splendid is a bookstore located in the Recoleta neighborhood of Buenos Aires. It stands out for being where the Grand Splendid Theatre did, having preserved the original architecture of that theater, but being in turn readapted to function as a bookshop. In 2008, it was chosen by the British newspaper The Guardian as the second most beautiful bookstore in the world, and in 2019, National Geographic declared it the most beautiful in the world

Highly recommend using this company for the tour. Try to get Andres as your guide. You will enjoy your time with him. Since we saw some of the city the day before, Andres adjusted the tour based on our interests. Pablo did a very good cemetery tour for us and another group. Prior to the tour, we were kept well informed and any questions were answered online.

Pablo showed us all of the main sites in Buenos Aires including the Rose Garden and Japanese Garden which we didn't know existed in the city. Both were beautiful and calming. He then took us to Recoleta Cemetery and told us many stories about the 'inhabitants', including Eva Peron. We requested he take us to Chinatown where we had a delicious lunch. We drove by Teatro Colon and then went to see the Presidential building, made famous by Eva Peron. Walked the Caminito neighborhood and saw all of their colorful houses and local artists. We drove through the San Telmo neighborhood before being dropped off at the Cruise Ship Terminal. It was a rewarding day with Pablo!!! He is the best! Highly recommened.

Our tour guide, Pablo, gave us a full day of touring Buenos Aires. He picked us up at the cruise terminal and took us to our hotel so that we could drop our luggage off. Fortunately we were able to put our suitcases in the room that was available. Pablo was a very safe driver. His stories about several residents of the Recoleta Cemetery were interesting and helped form a connection to them. We visited many areas with the cemetery, La Boca and Puerto Madero being among our favorites. Pablo also doubled up on explaining everything to us in English and Spanish to ensure that all of us understood him. We had a wonderful introduction to BA thanks to Pablo. This tour is highly recommended.
