It is important that our tour starts at 9am or before for better comfort at each location and to keep time for explanation, being the first to visit each site to get the best photos and to be calm in the sacred temples.

What To Expect
La Huaca del Sol
Our tours begin with a visit to the Sun and Moon Pyramids, ancient constructions dating back 2,000 years. They are astonishing for their ver y well preserved carvings and polychrome art, featuring five colors and excellent reliefs depicting human sacrifice.
Museo Huacas de Moche
Visit the Moche Huacas Museum and appreciate the best utilitarian and ritual ceramics of the Mochicas, around 500 ceramics or huacos found in the excavations of the Huacas Sol and Luna since 1990. It's A new and modern museum that will help us to understand the past of the Moche in northern Peru.

5.00To be honest I’m not a fan of organised tours but traveling solo and moving on quickly sometimes you have to bite the bullet if you want to see things and learn about the place you’re traveling. I went around the tour companies in Trujilo and soon realised due to the lack of tourists I was going to pay double if I required an English translator. And then I found Norte Expeditions! I spoke with a chap called Dilser who spoke fantastic English and he’s said that he would try to find other tourists that would like to do the same tour the following day so it would be cheaper for me and then let me know the following day. The next day he calls as expected but unfortunately there were no others but he still offered to take me and do the tour and he would be my guide and for just a little over the group price. 1 hr later we met in the main square and he picked me up in a beautiful new suv car and off we went. It soon became apparent that Dilser loved his job and giving foreigners a true insight into his country. This was not a tour! This was being taken around by a local friend showing you these incredible places in the region and chatting about Peru past and present, the good the bad and the ugly. I learnt more from Dilser in one day than any tour, book or tv. So as you can see I strongly recommend you give him a call/text if you want the best tour of the area. +51 944 729 735 Dilser Alfaro
