Wadi Bani Khalid
Wadi Bani Khalid is one of the best-known wadis in the Sultanate of Oman.[ Its stream maintains a constant flow of water throughout the year. Large pools of water and boulders are scattered along the course of the wadi. As a geographical area, the wadi covers a large swathe of lowland and the Hajar Mountains.
Wahiba Sands
Wahiba Sands desert is a highlight of any trip to Oman. The impressive orange sand dunes offer a unique experience, especially at sunrise and sunset. Therefore, I recommend an overnight stay! 5.00Our tour leader, Fahad, was amazing! He was very hospitable, kind, generous and respectful. He provided us lots of water, snacks, and Omani coffee and teas. Both Wadi and the desert were great experiences and I definitely will book another trip with them.

5.00I did the sunset Wahiba Desert Safari with Riyami and it was such a great experience. He was super nice and told us a lot about Oman, how things work there, and even shared parts of his own life story, which was really interesting and gave a real insight into local life. The desert was beautiful, I’d always wanted to see this particular desert, because of the slightly orangish colour, and along the way we stopped at a few places for snacks, juice, honey. Riyami was knowledgeable, funny, and made the whole trip enjoyable. I’d definitely recommend him!

5.00It's a long day trip but totally worth it. Our guide Abdulaziz was very professional, accommodating and humble. We spent 1hr at Wadi Bani Khalid which was plenty of time. Then we had a delicious banquet of a lunch. We missed a little of the sunset as it sets VERY fast! But that was alright we still enjoyed what we saw, our 4WD got stuck in the sand dunes which was a little adventure and amusing activity in itself. Now we have learned how to get a 4WD unstuck of the sand. Then went sand boarding down the dunes after the sunset which was lots of laughs and very fun! Even though not everything went entirely to plan it made a special and unforgettable trip with memories to cherish. Thank you!

5.00If I could give 10 stars I would do it without a second thought. All credit goes to Abd Alaziz, our desert guide/driver/lifesaver. The experience itself is already spectacular, but with him it changes completely. He comes to pick us up with a gigantic, comfortable and super air-conditioned car (a dream in the Omani heat). Along the way he told us everything: history, curiosities, customs and local customs... basically a turbocharged Lonely Planet guide. In addition, we did not miss anything: fresh water, snacks and even sandboards to slide on the dunes. The desert ride was a mix of adrenaline and poetry: her driving skills made us scream and laugh like children, and then... enjoying the desert at night was just magical. Lunch? Great! Clean restaurant down the road, with authentic and super good food. Tips from veterans: Bring a mobile phone cover, otherwise the sand will find a way to sneak into WhatsApp chats as well. Slippers are enough for this trip: with shoes you will take home half the desert in your socks. In conclusion: unforgettable experience, made perfect by Abd Alaziz. A real number one!
