A perfect day out… I think we lucked out,as we were a small group on the Tongarra. Nat and Elli, our crew for the day, made it all the more memorable, they were just fab. Food on board was great,no drinks provided,it was deffo byo, but plenty of room in the eskies to keep them cold. Everyone’s experience and expectations are going to be different, but we had the best day, so chilled, watching the sun set on the deck,Nat and Eli couldn’t have done any more to make the whole day special. A huuuuge thank you. .

The reef was beautiful in color. There were a lot of fish. Enjoy it. The viewpoint offered fantastic views. The guidance was less. Very loud music during the trip. No need for anything. And that meddlesome thing when you snorkel. Sprinkle fish food between the snorkelers. It will be hip and modern, but not necessary. Next time I go to the Whitsundays, I'll book another tour.

Had a great boat and snorkel trip with Joe and Jordy from Red Cat adventures. The snorkel stops were fantastic. Never seen such a beautiful reef with beautiful coral and lots of fish (large and small). Lunch was great too. And Whitehaven Beach was incredibly beautiful.

This tour gets 5 star ratings from most and its easy to see why. The crew were fabulous, shannon as captain is truly exceptional and gets 6 stars on her own, as do the crew staff. Whitehaven beach is a sight never to be forgotten. The climb up the island to the viewing point is a fair walk, its circa 20 minutes, maybe 15 for the younger fitter person but it’s certainly a bit of a trek although its not steep so perfectly doable for most abled bodies. However the view when you get to the viewing point makes it all worth while. It is spectacular and highly recommend you make the effort if able to. Lunch is good and the tour provides masks, snorkels, life jackets, noodles etc for swimming and the crew do everything to help in the water and make the experience a great one. My only reservation however is that flippers are not allowed/provided on this tour. This was quite a major negative because having snorkelled in the barrier reef where the coral is often only a metre deep, having flippers to cover large areas and swim against the current is invaluable. Tracking a turtle or reef shark is impossible unless you are wearing flippers but the red cat adventures (RCA) do not provide these and that is a shame. We also were snorkelling in a strong current and therefore the water was probably less clear than normal. Clearly this is not a fault of RCA who still made every effort to enjoy the snorkelling but with no flippers it was almost impossible to appreciate the beauty below and this really limited the snorkelling part of the tour. It also meant swimmers struggled to fight against the current and were worn out very quickly. Flippers counter this and enable a longer time in the water and make it much easier to get away from shallow coral. I don’t know if no flippers is a company policy or a whitsundays policy, and i get the reasons and rationale for protecting the reef, but these have always been made available when i have snorkelled elsewhere in the grt barrier reef and hence the experience was really diminished because of it. Also if you are over 60 it is mandatory to wear a life jacket when snorkelling. The crew are very clear on this and it is non negotiable. As a padi certified scuba diver, not having the option to opt out of a life jacket seemed harsh based on age alone. Again i don’t know if this is a whitsundays legal requirement or a company policy for insurance purposes or to maintain an eco standard but it would be beneficial to have both these obligations/limitations made clear before booking rather than being disappointed on the day. For those reasons i cant award 5 stars and it would only get 3 stars if not for the brilliant crew.

Did a Whitsundays day tour with these guys yesterday and it was incredible!! Sean, Carlos and James were our crew and they were funny, friendly and so accommodating. I have mild cerebral palsy so was a little apprehensive on how it would be, but they all made me feel at ease, comfortable and safe the entire time. I'd definitely recommend this tour, they get literal brownie points from me! :) And Jenny our bus transfer driver, she was also great!

Your day begins at ~8am with complimentary transport to and from the marina. Each stop then from the marina is around 60mins-40mins. This experience was 10/10. I genuinely had the best trip I was blown away by the beauty of the reef and the surrounds. Shannon and Vicky were both amazing. They made the trip, so informative and fun without being too much its genuine passion and happiness in their job. Their love for the area and marine environment is contagious. They make you feel like your trip was amazing (because it is) and makes you so greatful for everything you’ve witnessed. Stinger suits and all equipment it provided no question is a problem. Food was fab too as a vegetarian this option was no sweat and offered before even having to mention it same for vegan & GF. With a price for $230 you’re getting your moneys worth.
