From your hotel in San Juan, Condado or Isla Verde, your guides will pick you up in a club wagon van and take you on a 45 minute drive to your destination, located atop a beautiful mountain range near the city of Caguas. After a quick restroom stop, where you will also have the opportunity to buy any last minute snacks, you will continue on your drive to your tour site as you enjoy the mountain scenery and lifestyle. Once you arrive, your guides will provide you with a helmet and harness and provide you with a brief introduction. You will then start hiking uphill to reach the river trail, where the actual nature adventure begins. Before entering the forest, the guides will give the group a detailed safety talk to prepare you for the upcoming activities. The first part of the adventure consists of an upriver hike through a spring water river and forest, where you will get to also climb up river waterfalls and hills using secured ropes until you reach the top of the El Salto Waterfall. Once you arrive at the rappel station, your guides will give you detailed instruction on how to rappel down the waterfall using secure specialized rappelling equipment. After the group has descended the waterfall you will hike down river until you reach the ziplines, a total of 5, which will take you back to where you started the forest hike. Once the group is back at base camp, you will be given the opportunity to change into your dry clothes. From here it is just a short walk to “Grandma’s” house, where you will get to sit down and enjoy a delicious home cooked meal. You are usually back in San Juan between 3 and 4pm, depending on the group size, speed and traffic conditions.

This experience was pushed from the start. They were trying to see how fast they could get the excursion over with. All it would have taken was a few breaks and all would have been fine. When I went back to Grandma's house I was told this guy arrived to get experience over fast. We arrived back 2 hours ahead of schedule. If we had used one of those hours for breaks I could have completed the excursion. If you are not in great shape do not attempt this excursion, they don't work with you it's all fast ahead or nothing. Total waste of $195.00

Great experience I recommend it to anyone that likes a heavy/difficult hike. You cannot care about shoes and you will get muddy and wet! This experience is 4 in 1: hike, rappelling, zip lining and an authentic Puerto Rican lunch! The guides are awesome too!

This was an amazing experience! The hike up to the waterfall and the zip lines was a very advanced hike. Please beware, wear appropriate shoes, be prepared to hike through water, mud and up steep hills. A lot more challenging than I expected lol. However, I had a great time and would definitely do it again. 100% worth it if you love thrill, nature, and adventure!

A must do ALL IN ONE experience! Hiking, repelling off an amazing waterfall, zip lining, and wonderful food! Super fun. Expect to get a little dirty , wet, and it’s a part of the experience definitely a good time. The lunch at the end made by abuela was delicious as well as the incredible dessert. Hurry up and book!

Diego, Sally and Sammy were awesome tour guides! The waterfall reppelling was an experience we will always remember. The entire group had a blast. At the end of the day 'Grandma' even served us a homemade Puerto Rican lunch. Very professionally run.

The best experience I had in PR as a solo traveler. The guides were amazing and even went out of their way to make sure you get pictures & videos to remember the experience. I did an El Yunque tour the day before and it was nothing compared to this. The hike was incredible & so we’re the views. I can’t wait to bring my sister next time.

I honestly can’t rave enough about my experience with Rocaliza Adventure Tours. From start to finish, everything was incredible. The three guides were extremely friendly and made us feel comfortable the entire time. Sally was the standout—super funny, energetic, and very knowledgeable. She made the whole experience even more enjoyable. We did the waterfall rappelling and zipline, and both were amazing. The rappelling, in particular, is such a unique experience in Puerto Rico—something you really don’t want to miss. To top it all off, we got to enjoy homemade food prepared by abuelita, which was absolutely delicious and added such a special, personal touch to the day. This is definitely going to be a recurring experience for me. Every time I visit Puerto Rico, I’ll be booking with them again!
