Janise was very friendly and knowledgable. She answered our many questions with a smile. Provided a step stool when she saw our need.

The tour was excellent and the guide was very knowledgable. BUT, the tour was scheduled for 8:30 am and no one showed up (we waited until 9:15). After we walked back to the ship, we sent an email to the operator and they responded with an apology and said they had erroneously put it down for 12:00 noon.

I booked this private Bonaire tour through Viator, so I expected the description posted on Viator. My husband and I experienced the tour the morning of 2/2/26. Viator said our guide would be a "Long-Time Bonaire Resident" our guide was Romanian and had been on Bonaire for 3 years. He was pleasant enough but did not know many things about Bonaire--and did not seem motivated to learn more, his response was often " no one asked me that before". He was not able to identify any plants or animals except the flamingoes , caracara, what he called the "mickey mouse cactus" and i forget what he called the "tall" cactus. The Viator Itinerary said we would see "Trans World Radio Bonaire (TWR) (Pass By) You will be able to take a nice picture of the wonders of the sea. That is going to be a pleasant surprise for you." When I asked about the mural on the side of the radio station he showed me a small one and said that was the only one. We had to stop at the Tourism Corporation downtown and get a map to show him how to get to the HUGE mural to which I was referring. The Viator itinerary said "The Cadushy Distillery Here you will see how they make liquor and spirits from local cactus, and you can have a complimentary tasting" We did not go because our guide said there was bad blood between his tour company and the Distillery because one of the distillery employees broke their contract to instead work for the tour company so as a result the tour company was no longer allowed to bring guests for visits or tastings. Our guide said the tour company used to drop guests off around the corner, but then the owner of the distillery found out they were doing that and chased out the guests rudely calling them and the tour company names. Our guide offered to drop us off around the corner, but I did not want to be embarrassed and thrown out of an establishment in a foreign country, so i declined. Our guide ASSURED us that there were no signs that said "Bonaire" aside from the bamboo sign that was on our resort property. I've since come to find out now that I am back home that there IS a large "Bonaire" sign at Isidel Beach Park. The Viator itinerary said we would visit "Te Amo Beach meaning "I Love You" Beach, is a beautiful public spot near Bonaire's airport. It has a tranquil and sandy shoreline with easy access to the water."--that didn't happen. Neither did the visit or pass by "Donkey Beach (Pass By)That is a lovely beach where Locals spend their time together on holidays, and it is also suitable for snorkelling and diving" or "Bachelor's Beach That is Local Beach with very clear water." We did not see the Viator Itinerary stop "Hilma Hooker That is ship wrack, a famous spot for divers."--which would have been cool to see since I am a certified diver. We did not go to the "Punt Vierkant" lighthouse because he said it was not a "real" lighthouse that had a light on top which guided ships at sea. When I asked about these missed destinations, our guide vehemently assured me that these were not on the itinerary as he was the one that updated the website himself!! I do not know if his company also has a website with a different itinerary, but when I got back to the WiFi at my hotel, I found the Viator listing and saw that these things were--and still are as of 2/25/26--listed on the Viator website. This was the ONLY experience that we booked outside of our stay at the resort. It was suggested that I just rent a car and drive myself, but I wanted an "experienced Bonaire resident" to share their island with me. that was NOT what I got, and I am mad that I even gave him a monetary tip. I guess I was still believing much of what he said.

Miguel was fantastic! Very personable and knowledgeable. We enjoyed seeing the full city, the 1,000 steps beach, lake Goto & the flamingos, the salt pier and the random wild donkeys.

Our guide arrived promptly to begin our island tour. Daniel was very knowledgeable about Bonaire and we were able to see the natural habitat of flamingos, donkeys, sea turtles, and many birds. Some cats too! The salt flats were amazing, with white foam floating in the air! Seeing the slave huts near the salt flats and hearing about their life was both educational and emotional. Traveling to the higher area of the island gave us a fabulous view! I would highly recommend this tour.

We had an amazing tour with Daniel! He was a great tour guide. Pickup was on time and right at the port. We hit all of important spots and learned a lot of history. We lucked into seeing lots of parrots! Also saw wild Flamingoes, goats, cats, roosters, donkeys, sea turtle, pelican and a peacock! Loved the pink salt fields and the gift at the end of the tour. Highly recommend this tour with Daniel as your guide!
