5.00Our tour with Carlos was the highlight of our trip to Buenos Aires. Carlos was prompt in picking us up and making sure we were back to our ship in time for its departure. We saw all of the city highlights and Carlos took the time to explain what we were seeing and in answering all our questions. Carlos’s English was excellent and his warm demeanor made it like seeing Buenos Aires with an old friend.

5.00We recently participated in the "Fun Private Customized City Tour in Buenos Aires With Local Guide," led by Fred, and we could not have been more impressed with the experience. From the outset, Fred distinguished himself as a consummate professional—reaching out via WhatsApp in advance to customize our itinerary based on our interests and preferences. His attention to detail and genuine desire to provide a memorable experience was evident even before the tour began. Fred arrived promptly at 8:30 AM at our hotel and greeted us warmly before we set off in his comfortable, clean personal vehicle. Our first destination was the iconic Casa Rosada, Argentina’s presidential palace, renowned for its striking pink façade and its historical and cultural significance to the nation. Fred’s commentary was thorough and engaging, helping us appreciate the historical context and architectural beauty of this landmark. From there, we explored the surrounding Plaza de Mayo, where Fred shared fascinating insights into Argentina’s rich political and cultural history. He then guided us to the Metropolitan Cathedral of Buenos Aires (Catedral Metropolitana), home to the tomb of national hero General José de San Martín. Fred took time to thoroughly explain the significance of each site, answering all of our questions with evident passion and expertise. Following a short walk, we visited Avenida Florida—a lively pedestrian street bustling with activity—followed by a journey to the vibrant neighborhood of San Telmo. There, we explored the historic City Market (Mercado de San Telmo). We were captivated by the market’s eclectic mix of vendors, ranging from fresh produce stalls to antiques, vintage records, retro toys, and much more. Fred highlighted the unique character and traditions of the market, making our visit both informative and enjoyable. Our tour continued with a visit to La Boca, where we admired its colorful streetscapes, dynamic murals, and energetic atmosphere. This provided ample opportunities for unforgettable photos and left us with lasting impressions of Buenos Aires’ artistic and multicultural spirit. After a comprehensive and insightful experience, Fred ensured we were promptly returned to our hotel. Throughout the entire tour, it was clear that Fred is deeply passionate about his work. He is fluent in English (and other languages), exceptionally knowledgeable, and genuinely committed to providing an outstanding and personalized experience. We thoroughly enjoyed our time with Fred and wholeheartedly recommend his guided tours to anyone visiting Buenos Aires. We are already looking forward to returning to Argentina and booking additional tours with him in the future.
