  My husband booked the ticket and when we had trouble finding the stop nearest to our hotel on beach road. It’s just beside the raffles hospital! Then we took the bus. There are no headphones so all commentary depends on the driver. Which is where the problem exists. The description of certain buildings etc are not in sync. We took the green route twice and just about got to know a bit about the city. The orange route was shorter and I think the driver didn’t bother with the commentary during the latter stages of the trip.

  We ate lunch during their lunch break, but waited 2 hours to be picked up after their scheduled break! Then the driver cut the route short and we missed half of the marina tour of the tour.

  What an absolute disaster! Driver drove straight past us even though he acknowledged us, we waited over an hour for the next bus. While on board the driver played very little of the tour commentary, when it was played it was late and not played in full. We tried to listen to our phones for commentary but the driver kept talking to people down stairs in mandarin over the loud speaker and talking on his phone, making it impossible to hear. Driver didn't stop at all the stops, a/c vents kept self closing. I reported our situation to the City Tours and they offered a pitiful compensation. Save your money or spend more with a different tour.

  OK, so this is better value than others. Note only one bus an hour but that is fine if you plan... AND .. if the driver stops!

  This seemed to be priced at the lower end - for a reason, it seems. Driver only took cash. Did this transaction while driving away into traffic. Didn't give us tickets, but admittedly did later on when I asked him. Drove fairly aggressively. This led to the commentary being way out of time. Despite signs on the bus telling you to stay seated while it's moving, there's no way you'd get off at a stop if you were upstairs. He didn't stop long enough to give you a chance. The bus has seen better days too, but did the job. The aircon worked, but broken vents, so you got everything coming through it. It got us all the way round, in the proposed hour, but he had to shift to make it. Too rushed for me

  Since this company routes once per hour, it was not as beneficial as we had hoped. We ended up getting taxis instead of waiting in the heat for their bus. Some other companies route every 15 minutes or so…seems they have more buses. Next time I’d look into the timing of the bus and how it works practically with our itinerary. I don’t want to spend my day fretting over making it back to the bus or wait another out….

  Riding the Fun Vee hop on hop off bus is the most convenient way to see the city of Singapore where it goes around the major streets of the city, including Chinatown, the Marina area, Orchard shopping district, etc.

  Our family first came to Singapore and very occasionally we met friendly driver Jun Li at the departure station. Hop on and off sightseeing buses are perfect for families like ours with old people and small children. Driver Jun gave us lots of useful advice and tips to make our tour experience great. It was a wonderful experience. The upper bus also has in-room air-conditioned rooms, very comfortable!
