Seven Beauties Waterfall

The Seven Beauties Waterfall, or Yeddi Gözəl in Azerbaijani, is a peaceful and scenic natural site located near Vandam village in the Gabala region. The waterfall is made up of seven separate streams flowing from the forested slopes of the Greater Caucasus Mountains. Its name comes not only from the number of cascades but also from the famous 12th-century poem Seven Beauties by Nizami Ganjavi, reflecting the cultural background of the area. During a day trip in Azerbaijan, this stop gives visitors a chance to experience quiet nature. While the first two cascades are easily accessible, reaching the remaining five requires a walk up wooden stairs built into the hillside. The climb is moderately challenging but manageable for most people and highly rewards climbers with breathtaking views of the untouched forest and the serene ambiance created by the cascading waters .

Kamal was an expert guide. Learned lots, great stay, beautiful hotel in Sheki. I would highly recommend this tour. The one thing I’d say is that the lunches are huge- too much for me. If I could do it again, I’d skip Gabala- only because as a Canadian, from BC, the natural beauty of Gabala is something I have easy access to.

Went on Gabala-Sheka tour in June. Our guide was Ruslan. We were very comfortable with him, he kept a very close eye on our desires, our condition. Not only is he a good organizer who has everything under control, but he's also a wonderful tour guide. He spoke with great affection about Azerbaijan, tried to give as much information as possible about both the country and the place where we were at the moment, and his stories were not tiresome at all, and he very unobtrusively involved us in his narrative. The highlight of the tour was the town of Sheki, which is really very beautiful and immerses itself headlong in the atmosphere of its time, as if you've moved in a time machine. Highly recommended tour and all that beauty.

  • Poor organisation of the hotel booking

We booked the 2 day trip 2 months before the trip. Just a couple of days before the departure, we received a whatsapp message telling us that the standard double rooms we booked through them had been no longer available and only an expensive deluxe room and a suite were available. They also said that if we were not happy, we could cancel and find rooms ourselves. The timing was so near to the departure, we had to accept the expensive rooms which costs us further £90.00 (only payable in cash). We believe this was very unfair and the company was not trustworthy. Have a second thought if you are planning to use company.

  • Opportunity missed with terrible organisation and attitude - "I'm just the guide"

We went on a two day trip to Gabala and Sheki with ATI Tours. The Good - We saw some beautiful places in Shamaki, Gabala and Sheki. Our guide (Kamal) was interesting and knowledgeable. The Bad - It is really a trip to Gabala with Sheki tagged on for those signed up for it. The organisation and administration for those going to Sheki was terrible and not helped by the ATI tour guide who was as equally frustrated as the tour members. - To return to Baku at the end of the second day of the trip, we were taken back to Lake Nohor to connect with the Gabala tour. We spent 2 hours waiting for the Gabala day tour to complete their itinerary (at sites we'd visited the previous day!) before the journey back to Baku could start. - As we approached Sheki, we were told that although some of the group were going to the 5 star Sheki Palace Hotel, we had been booked at a 3 star hotel without being told why. - When a tour member complained to our guide about lack of seating and very loud music being played, our guide became aggressive and confrontational, rather than deescalating the situation as he should have done. Several of us found the situation unsettling and unprofessional. We live in Baku and love to explore Azerbaijan, but we won't book with ATI again nor recommend to others. When we raised concerns and asked questions we were dismissed with "I'm just the guide, speak to the office". Representatives of ATI need to understand that their tour guides represent the company and more customer-service training is required in this instance.
