Galle Dutch Fort
Galle Fort , in the Bay of Galle on the southwest coast of Sri Lanka, was built first in 1588 by the Portuguese, then extensively fortified by the Dutch during the 17th century from 1649 onwards. It is a historical, archaeological and architectural heritage monument, which even after more than 432 years maintains a polished appearance, due to extensive reconstruction work done by Archaeological Department of Sri Lanka. The fort has a colourful history, and today has a multi-ethnic and multi-religious population. The Sri Lankan government and many Dutch people who still own some of the properties inside the fort are looking at making this one of the modern wonders of the world. The heritage value of the fort has been recognized by the UNESCO and the site has been inscribed as a cultural heritage UNESCO World Heritage Site under criteria iv, for its unique exposition of "an urban ensemble which illustrates the interaction of European architecture and South Asian traditions from the 16th to the 19th centuries."
Jungle Beach
The Jungle beach is located between Galle and Unawatuna. This place is less known to tourists and is thus less crowded which makes it appealing for the people visiting this place. This beach is basically special for its location since it lies close to the jungle. The clean and sandy beach provides a panoramic view of the city of Galle and a perfect place to watch the sunsets. You can also go to this place on foot which is a through a very beautiful trail which is clearly marked. The place is also accessible through boats and is a different experience altogether. The beach has several beds and places to lie down and relax. The place also has decent restaurants which serve excellent food. The jungle beach is the perfect place for snorkeling where you can see some colorful fishes. The equipment and gear required for snorkeling is available on rent and can be obtained easily. The jungle beach is a peaceful and quite little beach, which is great for swimming!

This was my first visit to Sri Lanka, and even though my time was limited, I’m truly glad I included this tour in my itinerary. Kavi, our tour guide, is extremely responsible, knowledgeable, and courteous. He was attentive to my needs throughout the trip and made sure everything ran smoothly. I enjoyed every stop on the tour, with the turtle hatchery and conservation center being my favorite. Many thanks to Kavi for choosing the best spots at each location. I wholeheartedly recommend this tour to anyone traveling to Sri Lanka

Booking Travel With Lenin is an excellent way to begin when visiting Galle. We had a fantastic time at the best cost-wise restaurant in Galle, with the help of a nice and knowledgeable guide. We followed their advice when it came to dining and the places to go to and we weren't let down. Highly recommended. The one-day tour in Galle with them is definitely worth it. The guides are professional. They are friendly and trustworthy. The Galle tour isn't boring. It's really a big thing to have tour guides with amazing personalities, so you'll be at ease during the whole trip.

Excellent tour. I booked at Travel With Lenin for a one-day Galle tour, the entire trip was fun. What I like about our tour guides is that they are sensitive to our needs. They were quick to respond and we enjoyed the itinerary they made for us. Since it's our first time in Galle, we need to rely on their guidance, like on their suggestions about which are the best places to go to in Galle. And we weren't disappointed. We enjoyed the whole trip. They picked us up by car and the entire tour was comfortable. They are friendly. They are on time and professional.

Visiting the Gella. Arranged by Kavin. Board ride was magical. But every place (Jungle beach, Dutch Fort, turtle park) was great. See how cinnamon are made hand made will give a much better appreciation for the beautiful things. Speccially I love tample island and an amazing line of monks statues. Local people, are doing a big work. The turtle sanctuary we visited in Galle was amazing and impressive. On the other hand, w e also had a private driver, welcome drinks, and a lot of memories for the rest of our life.
