We absolutely loved this heartwarming, traditional Sri Lankan experience! It was a privilege to be shown how the family business is run with 40+ years of experience in making jewellery, and to make our own rings with them. We wanted a jewellery making experience that allowed us to take part and not just watch, and this was perfect. The location is away from Galle Fort, but worth it for the experience of being thoughtfully welcomed into the family home and meeting lots of the family, including their lovely children. A Sri Lankan lunch and tea were also kindly provided. Their passion in sharing with others what they do shone through and we hope this new business venture continues to be a success for them.

Great traditional Sri Lankan breakfast! The people were very kind and let us take part in making the ring. They explained everything clearly, making it an enjoyable and educational experience. As a bonus, they also helped me fix one of my old rings free of charge, which was incredibly kind of them!

the family gave us a warm welcome with typical sri lankan snacks. Then we met the silversmith that created a very new nice pendant to complete my old set. I appreciated the skills and the patience , recreating a pendant similar to my ring. He managed to do it perfectly the same and it maked me very happy. it is incredible how much work is behind a jewel and how many steps one single piece is about. great experience that I would recommend.

We’re so glad we went here and would absolutely recommend for a local experience with a personal touch. we had a private session where we got to see every stage of the ring making process and even get involved in them - which made the final ring so much more special. I took a couple of ideas of rings I liked and they helped me select the best option and pick out a suitable gem while we were enjoyed some local food and tea - the family and guide were very kind and friendly and shared lots of knowledge about the process and business.

Together with my boyfriend, we booked the class last minute, and it was great! Clear communication. We were picked up from Galle Fort and welcomed at the family’s house, where we tried some Sri Lankan snacks and the tea while choosing the gems (and watching some wedding pictures) :) The whole workshop was very interesting - we were involved in the process, but the whole ring was perfected by the “master”. That’s why you really come out from there with a VERY PRETTY ring! Highly recommend! The atmosphere was great, and the whole family was super super nice 😊 We were only in two, and paid more or less 6000 rupees for the experience, and 17 000 for the ring.

What a unique experience! The class starts with the choice of the gem, explaining how to recognize the fake ones You will take part to the entire process, from the casting, understanding the making of the alloy, to the modeling and finishing knowing the tools, you will have an active part in the making, and you will be helped, for those parts of the process too difficult to be done by you, you will just watch obviously You will come out with a unique piece which you will have taken part in the making of Super friendly and professional staff Really suggested!
