A small-group experience for curious travellers drawn to Ireland’s ancient Celtic roots.
Explore Galway at an easy pace, with time to ask questions, soak up the atmosphere, and enjoy personalised recommendations for the rest of your trip, tailored to your interests.
Step into a city where the Otherworld still feels close. As we walk, you’ll hear Irish storytelling in its natural habitat: myths and legends woven into real places—whispers carried by the river, echoes in medieval stone, and memories that cling to old walls.
Meet the Gods and Goddesses behind the lore, trace the symbols locals still recognise, and see how Galway’s living folklore sits right alongside its creative, modern spirit.
You’ll finish not just having “seen” Galway, but feeling why it’s vibrant, rebellious and unlike anywhere else in Ireland: full of stories, characters, and traditions that are still very much alive.

Candela was amazing at giving the tour. I really liked that it was something different than the traditional tours, and also really loved the mythology around Galway and Ireland. Would definitely recommend this tour!

Highly recommend it! It was very interesting and the tour guide was such a sweet heart! We had a blast during the whole tour and learned about the history of Galway. If you go to Galway you have to check this tour out! Only thing I would say is make sure you bring an umbrella!

An interesting combination of myth and history. Calenda was very personable and approachable, well-versed in Galway lore, with a dose of sly humor as well. We toured off the beaten path, not the typical tourist sites, and got a good sense of the Irish sensibility for the magical and enchanting. It was a very enjoyable tour!

The tour is about 90 mins and is easy flat walk starting at Galway University. Candela made the tour very interesting, pointing out landmarks and giving us the history and myths behind them!

Candela was super knowledgable and very nice. I have been to three different walking tours today, all of which were interesting and great, but as far as the Information given is concerned, hers was clearly the most accurate. She included the fun and wild myths and stories I got in the other tours as well, but she then gave the historical background as well and when asked subsequent questions, it got very clear that she has studied these things, or at the very least spent a good deal of time researching them. Great experience overall, 100% recommend!
