Kachikally Crocodile Pool
To start the tour you will visit one of the most famous attractions of the Gambia: the Kachikally Crocodile Pool. Here, you are guided through a museum, where the culture and history of the Gambia will be explained by our guide. He will tell you all sorts of information about the music, traditions, languages and more of which the country has to offer! After this, you are able to visit the crocodile pool. Here you watch the crocodiles and take photos of them!
Arch 22
Thereafter you will visit Arch 22 in Banjul. The July 22nd Arch is a monument that spans the Independence Drive which is the road that leads into the Gambia's capital. A good reason to visit the monument is for the panoramic views you get of the city from the top floor terrace. Here you get a better idea of the place as an island city, encircled by the ocean, the River Gambia and parts of the Tanbi mangroves.

Preparations for Independence Day caused the tower to be closed, but our guide took us to the National Museum, which was excellent and probably better than the plan. We were fortunate to have Babou Carr, an excellent guide, for the day.
