This was a fabulous walking tour with our local guide Jessica. She was funny yet insightful, full of deeper knowledge of the culture and psyche of the Korean people, its social pressures and challenges. It is not your conventional tour as it challenges your thinking about Korea & marketed K-pop, K-beauty etc.

Note that this is not sightseeing in the traditional sense. Jessica will reveal the truth behind Korean society as evidenced in posters, signs, storefronts, LED screens… what I liked about Jessica‘s tour is that she always explains the reasons behind the challenges and stressors here in South Korea. It may be her personal perspective, but she backs it up with statistics and examples. If you came to South Korea with your brain filled with K drama, K movies, and even the study of traditional Korean values or Korean history or Korean language, you’re going to experience some cognitive dissonance when you land in this country. Jessica‘s tour helped me at least to dispel a lot of that and see the country through a clearer lens.

Wonderful tour. I took my wife on this tour during her first day in Seoul and we loved it. Learned a lot about Seoul that we otherwise wouldn’t have from a knowledgeable guide with first hand experience. Our guide was hilarious and taught us so much in a fun and informative way. Highly recommend this tour to any curious travelers wanting to learn more about Korean society and modern life in Seoul.

Without exaggeration, this was one of the best tours I’ve ever taken. Our guide, Jessica, was incredibly friendly, funny, and knowledgeable. I loved how she started with small individual stories that all connected perfectly by the end. it was so well-structured. I left with a much deeper understanding of Korean youth society and the education system. I would 1000% recommend this to anyone who wants an honest look at Korea, covering both the beauty and the more complex, 'darker' truths.
