This is the unique tour to the Municipal Market. A amazing place full of flavors and local gastronomy of Rio de janeiro frequented by locals and unknown to tourists. We go to the site in comfort and safety, using a car or van and accompanied by a local guide.
Let's explore together the restaurants, bars and fruit sales and taste some of the delights of Brazilian and Portuguese cuisine.
You will feel like a Carioca (a person born in Rio de Janeiro) walking around the market and searching for cheaper prices than in the touristy south zone of Rio de Janeiro.

The market was a bit small and food was so so but Leo, our tour guide made the experience phenomenal! He gave so many amazing facts on the way there about the city and neighborhoods and history and tailored the tour to our needs. Not my favorite Rio destination but def my favorite guide!

Raul and Leo were amazing guides. The history he shared was amazing and eye opening. He did a great job tailoring our tour to highlight the African experience in Brazil. Leo is super knowledgeable and engaging. He took us to Little Africa and blew our minds. You must allow Leo to take you to little Africa. Raul took us on a city tour to see Christ the Redeemer, sugar loaf and the famous steps. We were able to skip some of the lines - it was great because it allowed us to spend our time touring instead of standing in line. I highly recommend these two gentlemen as your tour guides in Rio.

This was a fantastic outing to the municipal market. Well organized with transportation and great tour of the municipal market. Lots of samples of local foods and wonderful shops to buy items from. Raul is a great host with knowledge of the history and foods of Rio. Perfect amount of time to spend and a really good introduction to the foods of Rio and Brazil.
