Quite an experience to see the wildlife up close. Monkeys came down and ate out of my wife's hand. It was really cool to be on the lake when the ships were coming down to go through the canal locks also. The tour guide Hector, was great.

Dennis was an outstanding guide. He communicate the day before to confirm pickup time. We did a private boat tour of the lake, canal, rain forest, etc. We stopped at a small market en route to the water to pickup fruit, and we were able to feed several monkeys in the forest. Dennis let us add on an extra stop at the end and made a great recommendation for a local lunch spot. I would highly recommend booking this tour with Dennis.

We booked this trip on our own as the cruise line did not offer it while we docked in Panama City. The site where we picked up the boat was very primitive. By that I mean the men's room was the bushes next to the road. Other than that, all the people were friendly, the boat was not overloaded, and we scurried out to see the Monkeys in quick fashion. We saw a few monkeys (cute little buggers) and one jumped into our boat. It's a bummer that we went at noon time as by then a dozen or more boats had gone out and already fed the little beasties, so they were few and far between. Had we been able to do an early morning trip I would give this a very good rating.

Dennis selected the perfect boat guide. He knew how to find the Monkey's, what they were and how to attract them. They gave us history of the Canal and the Monkey Islands themselves. Our photos and video turned out perfect. We have contracted Dennis on two separate vacations for several tours each and he has always taken care of us, going above and beyond expectations. He has even taken care of our airport shuttle needs as well! Thank you Dennis!

I went on what ended up being a private guided tour to monkey island. The guide was incredibly knowledgeable, friendly and very courteous. She picked me up on time and explained what we were seeing on the drive there. I could not recommend this enough.

I ended up booking this tour last minute after getting stuck in Panama on an unexpected 2-day layover. All the websites I had gone to had nothing available for the day since it was such short notice. On a whim I decided to call Viator and they found this tour for me with a start time of noon which was perfect. Dennis (the tour guide) picked me up and I had a great time! We went down the Panama Canal and stopped at several islands where he and the boat driver "called" the monkeys. Sometimes times they came, other times they didn't. It just depended on if they were hungry or not. When the monkeys did come, Dennis took my phone amd captured really great pictures and videos. I very much enjoyed myself! Over the years I've done many excursions that involved monkeys but this was definitely the best. Thanks for a great day!
