This tour is two hours and can be done in the morning before starting the hikes to the canyon. What To Expect
Mirador Cruz del Condor
We will be arriving at the viewpoint of the Cruz Del Condor at 7:30 in the morning, here we will make a stop between 40 minutes to 1 hour, to enjoy the beautiful view that gives us the Del Colca Canyon, also here we will enjoy the majestic flight of the Condor. You can take a short walk along the edge of the canyon, so you can take beautiful photos.
Tapay Viewpoint
We will be arriving at Tapay viewpoint at approximately 8:20 in the morning, here we will make a 15 minute stop, to enjoy this beautiful viewpoint, which will allow us to see the depths of the canyon and the small towns that are deep in the canyon, such as Cosñirhua, Malata and Tapay Here we will stop approximately 20 minutes.

5.00Manfred took us to see two canyon lookouts. The views of the canyon were amazing. He explained many very interesting things about Cabanaconde, its inhabitants, customs and current life. He takes his time and is very friendly. He knows the region very well. Your car is spacious and comfortable.

5.00Great! Seeing Andean condors was pretty high on my list for the South America trip. After seeing them as silhouettes in the sky before, I wanted to see them a little closer - and this tour is amazing for that! Highly recommended! You don't disturb the animals on the viewing platform if you behave respectfully and they sometimes fly 3 meters above your head. Insider tip: do the tour (e.g. this one) from Cabanaconde, not from Chivay, then you'll be there before the tourist horde and get the best spots for condor watching. Manfred (Peruvian, German name only) is also super relaxed and gives you plenty of time, super good! :)

5.00The tour with Manfred is a great experience! We got to see many condors very close and the views on the colca canyon are beautiful. Manfred also takes you to lesser-known viewpoints where you're not surrounded by crowds. He is super friendly and gives interesting explanation about the canyon and the surrounding villages. We had a great time :)

5.00On flight 1441 on January 31, 2024 from Fuerteventura to Hamburg, I had an unpleasant medical emergency. I received immediate assistance from the entire cabin crew. The flight attendants were extremely professional, careful and very sensitive. During the entire flight, they kept asking me if I needed anything. I would like to take this opportunity to thank you again for your great efforts. Hats off to the entire cabin crew! Always happy to fly with Condor!

5.00Manfred our guide took us to Cruz del condor and several view points. We were the first to arrive at Cruz del condor which was very special. He was very kind and helpful. Furthermore, Manfred told us about the local history and culture which was very interesting. We would only not recommend to do this tour before you start your hike through the Colca Canyon. When first doing this tour, the hike starts around 10-11 h when the sun is already shining. It became very warm during our hike. It may be an option to only go to Cruz del Condor, which was also possible.
Very well guided tour with a personal touch.

5.00Manfred our guide/owner of Rueda Conmigo tour agency took us at the right time to the right spots to discover the Cabanaconde wildlife and cultural sites before starting our two day hike through the Colca Canyon. We have seen many condors before the big tourist crowds arrived at Cruz del Còndor which was a unique experience before we visited two more viewpoints to oversee the Canyon. Furthermore he gave hiking tips for the Colca Canyon hike and welcomed us with a cup of coffee after two days of hiking when we picked up our luggage at his hostel Las Palmeras Eco Hostal. Highly recommended 🤙.
