The Ghorepani Poonhill trek is for those with short time to experience beauty of the Himalayas. This is the most visited trekking destination of Nepal. The trekking trail runs through the scattered Gurung settlements along the Modi river to Tikhedhunga. From there you will trek up to Ghorepani via Ullerri through beautiful Rhododendron and Oak forest. After getting Ghorepani you will go on early morning hike to Poonhill (3210m). It offers stunning views of the Annapurna range, Dhaulagiri, Nilgiri, Tukuche, Varaha Shikhar, and Lamjung Himal. After then you will continue trekking to Tadapani and Ghandruk village enjoying dramatic mountain views. During the trek your guide will tell you interesting details about the region. You will get to enjoy the warm Nepalese hospitality and make lifetime memories on Ghorepani Poonhill trek.

At 7 am we will start ascending to Ghorepani village through dense rhododendron forest and mountain scene. We will stay in upper ghorepani for better view. Since it is in higher elevation than last one it will feel chilly cold especially in the evening.

To catch the sunrise over the Himalayas, we make an early morning climb along the steep trail to the viewpoint of Poon Hill (3,210m), the most popular trekking destination of the Annapurna region. It is also a great viewpoint to enjoy the amazing views of Mustang, Pokhara and more than 20 of the highest mountains including the close-up views of the Annapurna and Dhaulagiri ranges.

Bimal was incredibly helpful and knowledgeable about all things trekking! He was a fantastic resource especially for someone starting out in the Kathmandu area, as it can be hard to coordinate travel to Pokhara from the city without previous knowledge of Nepal.
