This was our first trip to Albany. Our guide Russell was phenomenal. The tour highlighted a number of must sees like the State Capitol building and the Egg with lots of great historical (and ghostly) context! Perfect amount of time and walking and very knowledgeable guide. My teenage son and their friend enjoyed as well. Highly recommend!

Our rainy, cold evening was perfect for spooky stories, and turned our tour into a practically private one. Russell was brilliant! His delivery cadence, familiarity with the material, and presentation style kept two preteens rapt for the whole time. We had a wonderful evening in Albany, and will recommend him to any other spooky history friends.

This was soooooo much fun. My 10-year-old and I are moving to Albany and wanted to know more about the city. Learning of the 90’ marble columns, the witches held hostage in the old jail, the single building left standing from the 1700’s, those faces etched in the siding, and what the eff is that egg thing- I would have never imagined it was a performing arts center with a freaking concrete top… If you think you are interest, do it. Our guide, I can’t remember his name for the life of me, was so much fun. He’s lived in Albany all of his life, and you can see how much he loves the town’s history. Thank you for employing such awesome people! - Dr. Lorelei Walker

There was conflicting information on the meeting place- one spot gave one location, the email gave another. I texted and emailed the company at the scheduled time of the tour requesting a refund to show I was indeed there. Got a snarky reply from company. On our way to leave we ran into the guide but the other people there for the tour left and should get their money back. Tour was fine. It was very cold out and I feel the tour was shortened because of the temperature.

Why a zero? Because zero tour guides showed for the booking. A group of 3 and a group of 4 spent 20 minutes looking for a guide at the specified location. Even asked the hotel attendants and called the number to the hosting business; which only led to a voicemail with all 3 calls. Would not recommend wasting your time or money. Everyone is applying for refunds. You should find an experience that youll actually get to "experience"

Friends and I (10 of us total) did a private tour with Russell. Russell was incredibly friendly, engaging and theatrical. While our group can be a bit easily distracted at times, Russell let us have some fun while also keeping the tour on target. It lasted just under an hour and a half and Russell kept us engaged the entire time and even laughed at our shenanigans. Russell had a script with him, which he never even had to refer to - he is a wonderful actor and knew his lines well! Russell presented as knowledgeable about the information he was providing and remained engaged with our group and our comments and questions. This was a fun experience to do with friends and learn some history and spooky-fun facts about our city!1

Tour was canceled due to a sick tour guide. Things happen to people and I hope they are well. I did wonder why the agency didn't have a 2nd person, on-call, or back-up employee? Very bad for business in a tough economy. I've paid on advance and hoping to get a refund without a difficult situation. We are here for a week and the tour is only Fri. and Sat. so we are unable to even re-book. Maybe we can make it another year if the company is still going.

We did a private ghost tour with our guide Russell who was very informative and, as an actor himself, charismatic. He was also very generous and offered to take pictures of us during any of the stops we made. It was a fun walk through beautiful Albany while learning about its haunted past. Thank you Russell!
