While the cost was a lot higher than the on street offerings, it was a professional service. The duration was a couple of hours, and as we were the only guests, it was a 'private tour' and our driver (David) was very knowledgeable, as he was a native Gibraltatian. The minibus was a little tired, but clean and tidy, and David's driving was excellent in very difficult roads. Our three stops were as planned, We could clearly see Africa from the lighthouse stop, the caves are an excellent spot to visit, and if you are feeling fit, you can walk further up the rock in the 25 minutes available at that stop. The final stop is to meet some of the Barbary Apes, who are extremely sedate and chilled, compared to those we have seen elsewhere. Overall a very good trip!

The Rock Tour was interesting learned quite a lot about the history of the tunnels and the caves were beautiful but I was disappointed that we did only see 2 monkeys I was expecting to see a lot more when asked the tour guide was informed that we were lucky we saw any I think this needs to be highlighted as I booked this s tour especially to see the Barbary monkeys so was very disappointed paying over a £100 for this trip for 2 of us I think this needs to highlighted so if you book you know that you might not see any and then the customer can decide whether they want to book the trip.

We had a wonderful time. Our guide was a true local, his family having been in Gibraltar for generations, so he knew his material. We saw some things that were probably not on the average tour.

A bit of a cattle run but efficient, well run, entertaining driver and sufficient time at each location to enjoy. The only negative aspect was finding the meeting place. Allow an extra 10-15 min to figure out how to get up to the 2nd floor of the parkade and then a few minutes to find them hidden in SE corner. Better instructions would help.

Dear Viator Team, We recently took the Rock of Gibraltar tour and wanted to share some feedback. The tour itself was thorough and covered everything advertised, including the Southernmost Point, the Cave, and the Apes. Overall, we enjoyed the experience and would recommend it. That said, a few areas could be improved. The driver would have benefited from using a microphone, as it was difficult to hear the commentary about the landmarks and history. The bus was somewhat dirty, and at one point we could smell the brakes while descending the mountain, which was a bit concerning. We would also appreciate clearer instructions regarding the meeting point and better identification (such as visible Viator signage or names on the bus) to avoid confusion at pickup. Thank you for your attention, and we hope this feedback is useful.

Bring water for drinking, wear shoes you don’t mind getting wet, check the weather and bring cash for tipping your guide.

From the monkeys to the caves to the tunnels, great tour that didn't take an entire day! Great length and good driver?

We did this tour starting from Malaga with Get your guide, we paid 95 euros without lunch, but it was a really nice trip. I'll start by saying that from Malaga it took us 3 and a half hours to get there and the same on the way back, because it makes many stops to get people up and in the evening there was a lot of traffic in Malaga for the return. There are no bathroom and coffee stops, so possibly arrange ahead. We arrived at the bus station, where then we were picked up by a minibus with driver who also acted as a guide, really nice with his jokes and even his explanations. The Rock of Gibraltar is one of the most fascinating attractions in the area and definitely worth a visit. This impressive rock formation dominates the Strait of Gibraltar and offers spectacular views of the sea, the Spanish coast and, on a clear day, even Africa. The view from above is truly breathtaking and fully pays off for the climb (those who want can do it independently and climb on foot). Inside the Rocca there are several points of interest, such as the caves of San Michele, tunnels dug into the rock and protected natural areas. One of the most curious aspects of the visit is meeting the famous Gibraltar monkeys, who live free in the area: they are fun to observe, although it is good to pay attention to your personal belongings. The visit can be done on foot, by cable car or with guided tours, and takes some time to fully appreciate. Too bad we could not have seen the suspension bridge, but it really deserves cmq this tour because well managed. Be careful because to enter Gibraltar you need a passport, and disable rooming (he downloaded the prepaid card to me), even though we had asked the guide and he said that he followed European rooming but it is not so. You could generally also climb by cable car, but it is now being renovated and will remain closed until 2027. In any case, the city is not tax free but is very expensive. The city has a nice center but nothing more. Too bad the weather wasn't the best.
