What To Expect

Gibraltar

Gibraltar is a British Overseas Territory and headland, on Spain's south coast. It’s dominated by the Rock of Gibraltar, a 426m-high limestone ridge. First settled by the Moors in the middle Ages and later ruled by Spain, the outpost was ceded to the British in 1713. Layers of fortifications include the remains of a 14th-century Moorish Castle and the 18th century Great Siege Tunnels, which were expanded in WWII

The Rock of Gibraltar is a monolithic limestone promontory located in the British territory of Gibraltar, near the southwestern tip of Europe on the Iberian Peninsula. It is 426 m high. Most of the Rock's upper area is covered by a nature reserve, which is home to around 300 Barbary macaques

Daniel picked us up right at the end of the pier. He then took us all over Gibraltar. He has lived there his entire life and knew everything….even the monkeys names. We felt very safe with him and had a wonderful day. The caves, monkeys, and different views of the Rock were our favorite parts.

Carl was excellent, he provided options for people with limited walking abilities. He was full of knowledge and provided fun extra details about living on Gibraltar. I would highly recommend Carl for anyone wanting a full comprehensive tour of Gibraltar.

“Sexy” Dale was our tour guide. He was absolutely perfect. He helped us, guided us and kept us safe when needed. His concerns about the monkeys around young children were taken into account. He went out of his way to help us with everything. This tour was perfect. The kids were amazed. We had a great time. We did 4-5 amazing tours on this cruise and this one was the kid’s favorite. Thank you Dale!!!

April 14th tour. A party of 6 including one 9 yr old child and disabled Grandma! Carl was amazing. Had our grandaughter hand feeding the monkeys. We were shown everything there is to see in Gibraltar. His knowledge is unbelievable. Immaculate and comfortable vehicle. Tour was a little early to avoid crowds which worked very well. We cannot thank Carl enough for his personal private tour, he really does go the extra mile. All in our party said it was the best tour that they had ever been on.

I was in Gibraltar with a friend who had not been there before. He wanted to see all the sights on the Rock an so we booked with Carl from Inside-Out Rock Tours. Carl had given me the same tour 4 years ago and I remembered him from then. He is an excellent guide, very friendly and knowledgeable. He allowed us to take the tour and all the sights at our own pace. Everything was explained in a very interesting, friendly and humourous way. The tour included all the highlights on the Rock in the price and going with Carl ensured we missed nothing. I would definitely recommend Inside-Out Tours to anyone visiting Gibraltar. First class!
