The Gin Nest is Torbay's premier gin-making experience.
You will be guided in the art of distilling your own craft gin using a traditional copper pot still. We provide alcoholic or non alcoholic drinks during the experience, and a 500ml bottle of your hand-crafted gin to take home with you.
You have the opportunity to personalise your experience to suit any occasion. We take individual bookings or group bookings.

What To Expect
The Gin Nest provides each person with the chance to design and create their own one-off bottle of gin to take home with them using a traditional copper pot still. During the gin-making experience there is discussion on the history of gin, the different styles of gin, methods of distillation and botanicals used. Choose your own botanicals, create your label and bottle your gin.

5.00I booked this event for a few friends of mine a long time ago and I have to say wow one of the best afternoons I've had in a long long time. Paul who taught us how to make Gin was amazing. The knowledge of the science and herbs and the expertise he had as brilliant . we really really enjoyed our day thank you so much Paul for making the day so brilliant and we will be back again

5.00Really enjoyed this afternoon in a relaxing environment. Tested our creativity but we all came away with something tasty and had excellent, attentive service and instruction from Paul. It is worth not driving so you can sample the delicious G&Ts during the session. Looking to book again later in the year and invent a whole new flavour profile!

5.00This was a thoroughly enjoyable experience and one that I would highly recommend to any gin lovers. The setting was welcoming; Paul was incredibly knowledgeable and kept us supplied with G&Ts throughout and then, at the end, we both left with our own, personalised gin. The whole experience, from beginning to end, brilliant.

5.00Had a brilliant time at the Gin nest in Torquay and had a talk about gin, it's history and how to make it. Very friendly staff and we didn't leave sober! Offered gin and tonics and different wines to try. Looking forward to trying our own gin and the bottle of wine and gin that we bought. Would highly recommend the Gin nest and we will look to come back in the future.

5.00We were lucky because my husband and I were the only ones in this class. It was the first of many gin classes we would take throughout the U.K. Paul was our instructor. He was passionate, friendly and knowledgeable. We learned so much and smelled many botanicals to add to our gin recipe in the few hours we were there. Paul made us a few gin and tonics. My husband doesn’t like to drink but he was a good sport to do the class and he actually enjoyed the gin and tonic Paul made for us. When we finished distilling our gin we were quite pleased with our creations. Great way to enjoy a few hours

5.00My wife and I were taken to The Gin Nest as an anniversary present by friends who live it Torquay and it is quite simply a brilliant way to spend an afternoon or evening. Such good fun that, for some reason, gets more and more fun as the time passes. You need to go to find out why! :-) (Hint: not all the gin you take home is in a bottle!) A special mention to Jordan, our hostess for the event, who was lovely. Looking forward to doing it again next time we're in Torquay!
