Simply spectacular. There are no words that can describe the beauty of the Rest and Be Thankful, and it’s one of the most dramatic valleys you’ll ever see. Winding through the valley, you’ll also see the old road which was used during the Jacobite times as a military route.
Inveraray
Wander through the picturesque streets of Inveraray, visit the Old Sweet Shop or stop for a coffee. Overlooking the banks of Loch Fyne, the county town was originally created and planned by the Duke of Argyll in 1745. On the edge of the town, you’ll also find Inveraray Castle which is set within extensive grounds with beautiful views over towards the Loch.

5.00We booked a tour with Hopscotch Travel after a recommendation from a friend and boy they don’t fail to deliver! We were picked up promptly in a clean and spacious Mercedes and shown all the sights of Glasgow we wanted to see. Barney was an exceptional guide and when we’re back in Scotland we hope to do another Hopscotch trip!

5.00This was the tour of a lifetime.!! I specifically wanted to see Glencoe as I am a member of the MacDonald clan. Michael - our guide- did not disappoint . He was a wealth of information on all the usual stops as well as a font of interesting side notes for some impromptu stops. The vehicle was top notch , clean and extremely comfortable which is exactly what you want for a 10 hour trip. He was prompt on arrival; Hopscotch even reached out the previous day to suggest an earlier start time as Michael was concerned about traffic and getting us to to our distillery tour in plenty of time. A nice consideration, as they could have done nothing and put us in jeopardy of missing our tour. His driving is impeccable. Though there are some narrow roads along the way, never once did we feel any concern for safety. I wish Hopscotch was everywhere in Europe! I would book them every single time. Suffice to say that on our next trip to Scotland, we will only book Hopscotch. If you want a worry free, luxurious private tour with a knowledgeable and pleasant guide, Hopscotch is the place for you. You will NOT be disappointed!!
