Enjoy a 90-minute guided tour of a traditional working Highland Distillery. Experience a tutored tasting of three world-class single malt whiskies paired with chocolates. You'll delve deeper into the whisky-making process at Scotland's most beautiful distillery. Located just 14 miles from Glasgow and home of award winning Glengoyne Highland Single Malt Whisky. Discover what makes the ‘Glengoyne Way’ so unique and why for every minute other whiskies spend in their stills, our spends three. You will then visit our No.1 Warehouse where you will discover the difference the wood makes to the spirit and how it deepens and intensifies in colour over the years. Then to the Club Room of the Distillery Manager's House where you'll unlock the flavours of our award-winning whiskies as you taste the Glengoyne White Oak, Glengoyne 18 Year Old and Glengoyne 21 Year Old Malts, each paired with a handmade chocolate truffle from Iain Burnett, the Highland Chocolatier. This experience is for adults aged 18 years and over only.

Our visit to Glengoyne Distillery was everything a whisky lover (or whisky‑curious tag‑along), me, could hope for. Nestled at the foot of Dumgoyne, the place already looks like it was designed for postcards—but the real magic came from our tour guide Laura who managed to blend education and comedy as smoothly as Glengoyne blends its malts. We learned about slow distillation, sherry casks, and why Glengoyne proudly refuses to rush anything. Even the science bits were made engaging, thanks to the guide’s knack for turning technical details into something you could easily understand. Each tasting was introduced with just the right mix of history, sensory tips, and playful commentary. By the end, we weren’t just enjoying the whisky—we were appreciating the craft. If you want a whisky experience that’s equal parts educational, entertaining, and downright charming, Glengoyne is a must. You’ll leave with a warm glow, a head full of fun facts, and a newfound respect for the art of making Scottish Whisky.

This is a beautiful distillery! Lovely grounds, and beautiful facilities. The scotch is highest quality! The tour and tasting were excellent. Highly recommended - but it’s considerably out of town from Glasgow and hard to get a cab out. The distillery will help you find transportation. Worth it!

We attended the distillery as part of our mini moon. It was a fabulous tour! We have visited a few distilleries and the tasting room was the best we’ve been to. Our tour ambassador Zoe was very knowledgable, passionate and cheery. The tasting itself was great. Very nice samples and we even got a discount in the shop for a bottle of whiskey afterwards. Definitely would recommend!!

The tour with tasting done with chocolate. The reception is very friendly and clear explanations are given. Our guide was Alex who personally took the time to get acquainted and give everyone attention. He knew a lot about making the whiskey and gave good explanations on how to drink whiskey now. Overall a great experience!

Nice surprise when I got here. We were alone and Alexander made the visit in French (a plus for me). Nice tasting. Alexander is passionate about what he does, the house he represents and he introduced us to his interesting way of tasting Whisky. Thanks to him James & Delphine Ps: thank you for the Pub address. A place like you like to discover when you come to Scotland (The Clachan).
