We can stop on the border between Latvia and Lithuania so you can take a photo with signs (optional).
At the Hill of Crosses, you will have a chance to purchase a cross (at very reasonable prices) from the local people, to leave on the hill or take with you as souvenirs. Please note that you can also bring a cross which you've made yourself if you'd prefer to do so!
At the Hill, we will take you on a guided tour so you get to know some stories and legends that will help you appreciate this place better. After the guided tour, you will have free time to explore the place by yourselves without the guide.
After the Hill of Crosses we'll be driving to town Siluva where you'll have a free time to visit the chapel which was built on top of the stone (it is still there in the centre of the chapel) where Blessed Virgin Mary appeared back in 1608!
After free time in Siluva, we'll be heading back to Riga.

What To Expect
Shrine of Our Lady of Siluva
We will drive through the town of Siluva which is widely known for the first apparition of the Blessed Virgin Mary in Europe back in 1608 - two hundred fifty years before Lourdes and Fatima. You'll have a free time to visit Shrine of Our Lady of Siluva church and First Chapel at the Rock which was built on top of the actual stone where Blessed Virgin Mary appeared.

Visit the most popular pilgrimage site in Lithuania! Enjoy a guided tour of the place (approx. 40min) and then have free time to explore the place by yourselves, take some stunning photos and plant a cross if you wish!

5.00Such a wonderful trip. The Hill of Crosses is such a peaceful and hopeful place. There was so much to learn about Lithuania. It's a long day but so worth it. Krista was an incredible tour guide, and a lovely person. I highly recommend this tour.

5.00My husband and I are from New York and we went to Riga for my birthday/New Year's Eve. We booked a tour with Krista at Amber Tours. I cannot say enough good things about her! She made the day so enjoyable for us. She was great at telling us about the history of the sites that we visited, but more important than that she was fun to hang out with. We talked about pretty much everything – Latvian culture, movies, TV, cool places to hang out. She recommended a great bar that we went to the same night and it was excellent. Krista was not only very professional, she was super cool and helped us have an awesome day. Book a tour with her!!
