This 10-hour day tour from Reykjavík begins at Þingvellir National Park, a UNESCO World Heritage Site where you can walk between two tectonic plates. Continue on to the erupting Geysir and the breathtaking Gullfoss waterfall, two of Iceland’s most iconic natural sights.

The tour culminates at Laugarás Lagoon, Iceland’s newest geothermal spa, opening in August 2025. Nestled along the Hvitá River in peaceful isolation, this is a serence setting in which to unwind. Your booking includes a towel and free drink at the lagoon’s swim-up bar. Soak in 37°C geothermal waters, cool off in the plunge pool, enjoy two soothing saunas, and experience the unique cascading waterfall feature.

What To Expect

Pingvellir National Park

Thingvellir National Park, a UNESCO World Heritage site, holds deep historical and geological importance. Visitors can walk between the North American and Eurasian tectonic plates at the striking Álmannagjá gorge, which widens annually. It’s also the location of Iceland’s first parliament, adding cultural depth to its natural wonders.

Geysir

At Geysir Geothermal Area, stroll past bubbling springs to Strokkur, a geyser erupting every 5–10 minutes, shooting water up to 20 meters high—sometimes even 40. Nearby lies the dormant Great Geysir, namesake of all geysers, once said to have erupted to an astonishing height of 100 meters. We will also most likely make our lunch stop here at the visitor center. The center offers several dining options.

The guide made this tour the best Ziggie is the best! He took the time to engage with all of the group. No one was left out. His humour & approachability along with story telling was on a level of its own A*! The day was clear - and the stops were great. My tour included a stop at a new spa. It was amazing !! Learned sop much. I had flown in &had considered cancelling as I thought I might be too tired. I am so glad I went ! Def a huge hillight of my time in Iceland. Thank you ! Loved this small group tour, Roman (Chris) was an amazing guide and very knowledgeable! There was only 4 of us on the trip, and we had plenty of time at each stop! And Roman even made some extra additional stops which topped off the tour. (Having ice cream with Icelandic cows was great) The new lagoon is beautiful, far less crowded and amazing views! Couldn’t recommend it more, and it being on the golden circle was a bonus!

This was our second tour with this company and pleased with the prompt pick up and friendly driver. Our driver Marika, was very friendly and knowledgeable and she gave us lots of information about the areas we visited. She was helpful and friendly and we had lots of time at each stop. The tour ran slightly differently to planned but she explained it all and we had a fantastic day arriving back at our hotel for 7pm.
