Discover the charm of southern Beaujolais, often called the "Tuscany of France," with its rolling hills and picturesque hilltop villages made of golden stone. Just north of Lyon, this lush, hilly region is known for its famed Beaujolais Nouveau and golden-stone architecture.
Join our driver-guide for a cultural and gourmet adventure, including an introduction to wine and a tasting session with a local winemaker.
Travel through scenic landscapes where villages glow in warm golden stones. Enjoy a wine-tasting session amid the vineyards, savoring two distinct wines paired with a local pastry, while learning about the “terroir” that makes each wine unique.
Visit Oingt, a 12th-century village listed as one of France’s Most Beautiful Villages, and stroll its medieval streets. End your tour at a family-owned winery where the friendly winemaker shares his craft and offers a tasting with a traditional Lyon “mâchon” of local cold meats and cheeses.

I have been to several wine tour (Spain, Italy and Portugal), this one did not meet the criteria as a wine tour. The tour guide tried his best to accommodate the tourist but it seems like, it was more a town tour. The winery wasn’t as interactive, at a minimum, show the type of grapes that are grown. Also, they should provide more glasses for each wine tasted. We use the same glasses for each white, rose and red wine. Not ideal for wine tasting. It feels like they are just going to the motion with no care about their wine and seems like they care more on the sale of their wine.

This was a very fun and interesting tour! I feel bad that I don't remember our tour guides name but she's very petite. She explained everything and we enjoyed the wine tasting at the end with our group. We enjoyed all the scenery there was getting to the location. This tour was better than we expected!

We had an excellent trip! Francois was our guide and he did a great job explaining the wines as well as the reasons that the wines of the area are what they are. He answered all questions and engaged with all members of our tour. The size of the group and quality of visits/wines were very nice. I would not hesitate to recommend this tour to anyone.

We heard about the interesting local history and the wine. Clémence and Yann were both very knowledgeable and engaging hosts. The chapel was a nice setting for a tasting. The winemaker and his vineyard complemented the tour.
