The one-day Gorilla Trekking Adventure helps you to get closer to one of the Mountain Gorilla families within Volcanoes NP, home to the remaining endangered gorillas, which have stayed due to the effort of our Beloved Dian Fossey once the great primatologist, she was brutally murdered in her cabin at a remote camp in Rwanda in December 1985. It has been theorized that her murder was linked to her conservation efforts, probably by a poacher.

At 5:00 AM, our driver guide will pick you up from your hotel and take you to Musanze.

At 7:00 AM, You will check in at Volcanoes NP's headquarter for legal formalities and get a briefing before the track starts.

During the tracking, you will be allowed to spend 1 hour with these endangered creatures while taking photos and/or videos. The tracking adventure will end with having your lunch before we take you to Gorilla Guardian Village for a cultural experience.

Later on, our driver guide will take you back to Kigali and drop you at your Hotel.

What To Expect

This is going to be a quick answer to everything you may be asking yourself about Mountain Gorillas. You will see them closely and spend some time with them while learning more about their lifestyle, food, and how they are related to human beings. It is going to be the right time for you to learn more about the importance o conservation, especially how Volcanoes National Park is taking care of them. Gorilla trekking in Rwanda is only allowed for people aged for 15 years old and above

Culture/traditional experience: After Gorilla trekking Adventure, we will drive to "Iby'iwacu cultural centre" to enjoy the cultural experience.
Duration: 1 hour: At "Iby'iwacu cultural centre", you will enjoy traditional dance, herbal medicine, live like a king/queen, blacksmith & many.
Lunch
Van or Safari car (4x4): Our van can carry 7 people seating comfortably. We also have 4x4 pop-up roof safaris car used based on the No of tourists.

This tour was a huge success thanks to the efforts of Darius Twamihigo and Usalama tours. Darius did an excellent job of telling me how to prepare for this tour and answered all my questions. Darius picked me up early and delivered me timely to the Ranger Station. He did an excellent job of pairing me with a Ranger and tour participants that matched my physical fitness level. WE SAW 12 GORILLAS! Darius has an intricate knowledge of the Rwanda and surrounding landscapes that provide the traveler with valuable insight.

We had such a great experience thanks to Darius ! We stayed 2 days in Rwanda : 1 day visiting Kigali and 1 day visiting the Gorillas. Being with the gorillas was my forever dream & Darius understood it well. He helped my bf & I to have an unforgettable moment, beyond what I had imagined. For this, I'm really greatful. Darius is a good person and he was meant to be in contact of tourist people. I can only recomand him and his touristic agency.
