Ggantija Archaeological Park
We start our tour by visiting the megalithic temples of Ġgantija, a UNESCO World Heritage Site since 1980, this impressive archaeological site dates to c. 3600-2500 BC, along with Ta’ Ħaġrat Temples and Skorba Temples in Malta, the temples of Ġgantija are believed to be the second oldest free-standing monuments on Earth, second only to Göbekli Tepe in Turkey and predating Stonehenge in England, and the Pyramids of Egypt by approximately 1000 years! The etymology of “Ġgantija” is derived from the Maltese word for giant (“Ġgant”) because it was believed the site was built by a race of giants. This mythological idea makes sense considering that the temples are constructed from megaliths (massive limestone blocks) measuring more than five meters in length and weighing over 50 tons.
Victoria
After visiting the temples of Ġgantija we will proceed to visit Victoria, the delightful capital city of Gozo. Victoria is not just the geographic heart of Gozo; it is also the centre of everyday activity. It manages to combine the bustle of its market and shops with a relaxed and sociable atmosphere. It is a great place to watch the islanders go about their day, especially when the main market square comes to life.

EWe had such a great time on the full-day Gozo tour with Robert Arrigo & Sons! Everything was super well organized from the hotel pick-up to the ferry crossing, so we didn’t have to worry about a thing. Gozo itself is stunning, and this tour really gave us the chance to see a lot in just one day. The Citadel in Victoria, the views at Dwejra, and the little villages we passed through were all amazing. I loved that there was a nice balance between guided explanations and free time to look around on our own. Our guide was fantastic – really friendly and knowledgeable, and you could tell how much they loved sharing Gozo’s history and culture. Lunch was tasty too, with some local dishes that felt authentic. What I liked most was how relaxed the whole day felt. Even though we covered a lot of places, it never felt rushed. It was just the right pace to enjoy the island. Overall, this tour made visiting Gozo completely stress-free and really enjoyable. Definitely recommend it if you’re in Malta and want to discover Gozo without the hassle of planning everything yourself!

This was a very long day. We were there off peak and it was still a long an arduous coach, ferry, coach trip. There were so many groups other than ours. Our guide although lovely, was a very quiet and tiny lady, so most of the time we lost her in the vast crowds (even with her umbrella up). Lunch was not very good and again, there were 3 other groups catered for at the same time. The food offered was Carrot soup (which was OK), very dry chicken strips, 2 halves of roast potatoes and raw white cabbage as a side salad (I assume). 1 glass of wine each and a small pot of vanilla ice cream for desert. We were second to last on the coach going and the driver thought it would be a good idea to go on the very rural roads, which were very windy and bumpy. We were seated at the back (being last on) and going over so many uneven roads was ridiculous. We thought at least that if we were last on going, we would be first off on our return, but no, the coach driver on the way back (although on the major roads this time), decided his route would make it that we were last off. Unless you wish to look at what essential are fallen piles of bricks, shored up by scaffolding, dont waste your time or money. We did visit Victoria, which had a couple of nice views, but to be honest, spending a day in Valletta is more fruitful.

Not enough information given regarding transfers. One hour spent driving to ferry with no information or commentary.it Ferry terminal was crowded like a cattle sale. Once in Gozo was ok but diving hole was waste of time. Guide was excellent. Lunch was noisy & rushed but good food.

Unfortunately there was an accident on the day of the tour and we had to wait for some people late due to traffic. On the ferry each person is comfortable to go wherever they want, which is positive to enjoy the trip well. However, there was little information during the tour, there was a lack of information and it is worth doing a research to know what you are seeing. The optional boat trip did not happen, nor did they even mention it. The lunch was good, but in little quantity. The time spent in the Ggantija temple was very little, and as a group we were limited in what to see. Given that the information provided was scarce, there could be time to listen to the audio (there is an audio summary right in front of the entrance of the temples) but I had to interrupt the audio because the group was already leaving. For duration purposes, the first ferry went at 10h and the return was the ferry at 17h.
