Doctores
Doctores Neighborhood (Colonia Doctores) in Mexico City is a vibrant area with a mix of old and new influences. While historically known for being working-class and a bit rough around the edges, it's become a hub for street art, especially graffiti. The walls of Doctores are adorned with murals and graffiti that range from politically charged pieces to more abstract or personal works. You'll find a raw, urban energy here, with artists using bright colors, intricate designs, and bold statements. The neighborhood’s gritty aesthetic has made it appealing for creatives, and it offers an authentic, underground vibe, contrasting with the more touristy parts of Mexico City. Museo del Juguete Antiguo México (The Antique Toy Museum of Mexico, entrance not included) is located within the Doctores neighborhood and is a hidden gem for lovers of both nostalgia and street art. The museum’s exterior is a canvas for some of the city’s best graffiti artists.

We took this tour in 2023 and decided to do it again this year when we brought my mother to visit. She was excited about the prospect but when we got there she was a bit freaked out about riding through the streets. She was about to pass on joining the tour. Our guide, Diego, persuaded her to stay and he modified the tour so we would do almost all of the ride in nearby Chapultepec Park. This tour that he came up with on the fly was amazing. We saw parts of the park that I had not previously visited like the Don Quijote and poets areas, and we had a beautiful ride on a beautiful day. Everyone left very happy with the tour. Diego’s flexibility really saved the day.

We saw a lot of the city in our bike tour, not just street art. The bikes were comfortable and we felt safe even on busy streets.

This tour was the best way to see some of the amazing street art found around CDMX. Our tour guide was very knowledgeable on urban art culture and knew all the best spots in the neighbourhoods we rode through. We felt very safe riding around the city on bicycles and it was the perfect afternoon. Before the tour ended, we stopped at Museo del Juguete Antiguo México which honestly felt like we were transported to another planet. I highly recommend this tour to anyone interested in street art and visiting this museum.

Just got back from our Graffiti & Urban Art Bike Tour and had to write a review! Our guide, Mayek, was amazing! She was so kind, super knowledgable, and made us feel so connected to every site we visited. We rode through the Roma, Condesa, and Doctores neighborhoods, many about a dozen stops at incredible graffiti along the way, and we went to the Toy Museum toward the end of the tour to see an insane collection of classic toys (and where there is also some amazing graffiti art throughout the museum AND on the rooftop). Mayek also showed us some "extras", places not included in this tour. She took us through a section of Chapultepec Park, including one of the audioramas (the tucked away little nooks that play relaxing music with the trees creating a shaded canopy!). She also took us to see a bus (which also has graffiti art covering it) that also serves as a bookshop of sorts. We went in and were able to pick out a book for ourselves to keep! The tour was very flat and easy, with lots of bike lanes. So if you are a moderate-to-beginner in terms of your cycling skills, this tour should be fine for you! Having spent most of our time in CDMX in the Centro Historico, this was a wonderful way to see multiple neighborhoods, with the added bonus of enjoying the amazing street art these places have to offer!

Incredible art throughout the trip and an awesome guide to help us. Biking is the best way to see the city and feel the culture. Also, I felt very safe riding through the streets and traffic is much lighter in the mornings during the tour.
