This was a great way to see the sights. It was so hot and although we did walk around the area, it was nice to ride. We got to stop at multiple locations and get out to look around. I highly recommend this!

Fredder was a great guide. He shared some great local knowledge and curated a wonderful tour. His English is fabulous!!! We loved the chocolate plant tour (amazing chocolate and a great story) and cigar factory. Those plus the carriage ride were the highlights of the tour. Thanks Fredder for a wonderful experience with Ecoterra Tours

I booked this tour to begin just a couple of hours after my arrival in Granada, and I don’t think I could have made a better choice. My tour guide, Fredder, picked me up in a van from my hotel and drove me our first destination, a very important cemetery on the west side of the town. From there we traveled east, stopping at each of the distinct and important landmarks along the way. Fredder was super knowledgeable about the history of Granada and Nicaragua. He also spoke wonderful English, so I was able to follow along and easily understand everything he was telling me. Along the way, he offered water and beer, ensuring my every need was catered to and that I was able to enjoy the experience to my liking. I’m not a fan of beer, so I only drank the water. But, I think offering both is a wonderful perk for this tour. After we climbed the bell tower at La Merced, we took a horse drawn carriage down to the shores of Lake Nicaragua, which was another wonderful way to see Granada. After that, he got back in the van and drove over to Central Park for the final part of the tour. I seriously can’t recommend this experience enough, as it was a truly amazing way to see and experience Granada. Another really amazing perk was that Fredder introduced me to people throughout the city that we crossed paths with including his English teacher, a famous poet in Granada, and a music teacher from Germany who has called Granada home for 30+ years. By the time the tour was done, I felt like I wasn’t just a tourist in the city but had became part of the fabric of Granada too.

In nov 2020 we did the volcano and lake tour. It was a blast! Super friendly and knowledgeable guide, all covid safety precautions were taken. Great hike and boat ride right up to the volcano. Cant beat this view! We were on the lake at the foot of the volcano at sunset, it was breathtaking (see me photos) go ahead and book a tour!
