The Grand Canyon Rim Hike is one of the best hikes in Yellowstone National Park. This hiking tour is a loop. Your tour guide will watch for bears and answer your questions along the way.
Not only do we hike along the Rim of the Canyon, but also through the forest to lakes, mud pots, and meadows.
Your guide knows the trail and trail junctions, where many hikers get confused. Your guide also knows the good spots to stop for photos, resting, and lunch with a view.

Grand Canyon of the Yellowstone
Your expert guide will meet you at the Pavilion next to the Upper Falls Parking Area at 8AM. The hike is a 4 to 6-mile loop. The hike is along the Canyon Rim, then through the endless pine forest out to Ribbon Lake. After that, we pass a thermal basin, Clear Lake, and the Hayden Valley. If you hike one trail in Yellowstone this should be it!
Upper Falls
We begin our hike seeing the Yellowstone's Upper Falls. This is the beginning of the Grand Canyon of the Yellowstone River.

Beautiful views of the Grand Canyon of Yellowstone. We also got to see forest areas, ate lunch by a small lake and then walked through thermal areas with mud pots and steam vents. The guide also spotted an elk for us to see!

Had a wonderful experience, small group, our guide Emily was very patient and helpful and pointed out many things. She was our official photographer as well and we loved how she was so patient.

This was the best thing we did in Yellowstone. Julia met us early at the parking lot - she gave us an orientation and coffee with snacks to get us ready for the day. Throughout the hike she kept us safe, educated and entertained. The hike was about 6 miles of amazing variation of terrain and breathtaking views. It is hard to believe all that diverse beauty was within the same hike. Julia carried the bear spray and a whole host of gear we (thankfully) didn't need. She makes an excellent sandwich too. By the end of the day we had become family with our fellow hikers.
