The West Rim Grand Canyon property is located on and owned by a local Indian tribe. Driving 2 hours from Vegas, past the Hoover Damn and the Joshu Tree National Forest, it was a flat "desert-y" drive. The West Rime ticket is $100 and does offer credit for food and gift shop purchase. It also included a zip line over the Grand Canyon. It is organized and you are shuttled to the points of the canyon to see different sites and views. We arrived early and were number 24 in line for the zip line course. We waited an hour in line even being early. Shade is limited and more is needed. Some form of additional organization is needed to keep the long lines in shade and informed. There were places near the zip line course to get water and do shopping, which would have been a revenue stream, but it could not be enjoyed because you were in standing in line. Zip line staff was cordial and knew their tasks. The zip line course was breath taking and a once in a lifetime experience. I am not sure I would have done it if I had not been included so I am glad it was. If you have lunch in the restaurant, the portions are big so split with a friend. The lunch is $27 for all the offerings, and with the admissions, you get $10 off per ticket. The skywalk has breath taking views and the staff takes precaution with booties on the glass walk and your personal items in lockers. All in all, a great visit. The gift shop items are overpriced. I paid $6 or two .25 cent postcards so be aware.

This ended up being a very mixed bag. First of all, we didn’t end up traveling with them at all. They surprised us by cancelling and sending us with a different company (we got the notification the night before). However, the “sister company” they set us up with ended up giving us an incredible experience, so there’s that. Also, props to Grand Canyon Destinations for accommodating me by allowing me to chance the date. That was nice of them - however, it was a real pain how hard it was to get in touch with them. Based on my experience, neither phone number (local or toll-free) works. They have a chat feature on the website, but of the 10+ times I have tried it, I have only gotten in contact with a person one time. Email seems to be the best bet, but even that requires a wait sometimes. Pros: Accommodated a reschedule Cons: Turfed us off on another company at the last minute, impossible to reach with questions

We recieved a confirmation e-mail the day before we were due to partake on the tour letting us know pick up times. Less than 24 hours before being due to depart, I was contacted to say the tour had been cancelled and offered to swap to their sister company for an additional $15 per person. Considering the reviews left around difficulty getting a refund (this has happened to multiple people), we decided to pay the additional $60 to ensure we didn’t miss out on what had already been an expensive trip. Customer support and service was terrible and it is clearly a routine of cancelling last minute and requesting further payment to switch to a ‘sister company’. There was little empathy and considering if we as customers had cancelled within 24 hours, would not be entitled to a refund, I find it incomprehensible as to why the company who have cancelled within the same timeline aren’t liable to cover any additional fees. Thankfully the tour itself was incredible but would 100% avoid using this company as this has seemingly happened to many people and feels like a scam to gain additional funds through two likely linked companies.

This was an amazing experience which will be remembered for many years to come. The trip to Hoover Dam, was filled with interesting facts from our fill in guide John. He is very knowledgable on the history of Las Vegas, the building of the dam and the history of the and creation of the Grand Canyon. Overall this tour was value for money, and exceeded our expectations of what were saw. Only downfall was pick up meant to be 6.00am due to unforeseen circumstances it was 7.20am, thankfully the weather was a sunshine Vegas morning.

Do not book with this company. Tour was canceled one day prior. Could not reach customer service to reschedule or inquire and was still charged.

To our utter dismay this excursion was cancelled 2.5 hrs after the booking was confirmed. No alternative was offered and the total payment of $214 has still not been returned to my account. Not happy!! Dot Birchfield

Yea I will leave a review. I booked this day trip to the Grand Canyon for my cousin and I in November. Received an email just a couple of days before we were supposed to go that the trip had been cancelled. No explanation . I had to email them back and ask why. I was told that there were not enough people signed up and I would be receiving a refund in 3-5 days. 7 days later and no refund yet! Next year we will just go and stay near the canyon and take ourselves on a tour . Thanks for nothing.
