During this tour you will visit and experience the best of what the capital city of St.George has to offer. Starting with the carenage, a beautiful horseshoe-shaped waterfront habour, lined with elegant colonial buildings, colorful Caribbean style dwellings, shops and bars.

Next up is the beautiful Annandale falls where you will enjoy the serenity of water cascading over the rocks.

At Fort Frederick you will be given the opportunity to take in the breath-taking panoramic view of the city. The last stop is the Famous Grandanse Beach; here you can take an invigorating swim in the clear crystal waters or you can kick back and relax on the soft white sand while enjoying a cool refreshing drink or sample Grenada’s local cuisine from the bars and restaurants that line the beach. After your exciting beach experience at a time that best suits you, you can take a water taxi (5 mins ride from the beach) that will take you back to your cruise-ship.

Carenage

A scenic inlet, the Carenage is a great place for a stroll along the water’s edge, taking in the colorful fishing boats and the bustle of supplies being loaded for other islands. At the north end, some of the sturdy Georgian buildings overlooking the water have been restored.

Fort Frederick

Perched atop Richmond Hill at the center of St. George's, Fort Frederick is a bastion type fort, which offers a 360 view of St. George’s. After a walk through its grand arches, you look southward onto the town of St. George's and admire the picturesque Carenage and northward to the rolling mountain ridges covered in lush vegetation and quaint houses. Today, Fort Frederick is an attraction of beautiful vistas and various levels with enchanting perspectives of the capital city of Grenada.

We were picked up from our cruise-ship in St. George’s right on time to start our tour. We went to the Annandale Falls, enjoyed the great view at Fort Frederick and then the place couldn’t wait to get to Grandanse Beach. We basked in the sun and swam to our hearts content before taking a water taxi back to the cruiseport in time for departure. The tour guide Scott was very friendly and professional. This tour is a must-do if you love the beach.
