What To Expect

Leave Johannesburg at 06h00 and once out of Johannesburg travel east on the N12 towards eMalahleni then on the N4 to Dullstroom and Lydenburg. Continue down the spectacular Abel Erasmus Pass into the Lowveld, it is now only a fifty minute drive to the Balule Game Reserve a "Big Five” reserve which is part of Greater Kruger Park. Your safari starts once you enter the reserve gate with a 7 km drive through the reserve to Mohlabetsi Safari Lodge. Late afternoon is "safari time" Meet your ranger and board an open game tracking vehicle to explore the African Bush looking for some of the many species that make this area home. The ranger will point out and explain the many animals found, and hopefully you will be lucky enough to see the elusive cats. On day two and three enjoy an early morning and an afternoon open safari vehicle game drive and three delicious meals a day. Between the game drives you will have time to enjoy the lodge facilities. On day four another early morning wake up call before going on the morning game drive to search for any animals you may have not yet spotted and then after breakfast check out and sadly leave the lodge and start your drive back home.

We had an absolutely amazing time doing the 4 day safari that Glen at Go Safari organised for us. We were a group of 4 adults and did 1 night on the train at Shalati, then 2 nights at Jocks Camp private game reserve. Everything went seamlessly, including all of our transfers which Glen arranged. He was super helpful in the planning and responded within 24 hours every time. I would highly recommend if you're looking to spend some time in Kruger, as it is an absolute minefield if you're looking on your own without any recommendations.

We had an exciting time, the trip was flawless, and the accommodations rom beginning to end was outstanding. Glenn and his team were attentive, and left nothing to chance with superb follow up each step of the way. We enjoyed Cape Town, Johannesburg, a Safari in Kruger National Park, (Got to see the Big 5!), and Victoria Falls in Zimbabwe. Each place we visited, people asked the same question, would you come back, --Yes we would, and would us Go Safari.

I've just returned to the UK from the most amazing trip to the Greater Kruger National Park. We saw almost every animal possible in their natural habitat, sadly the Leopard escaped us! Even more reason for a return visit. Our ranger Victor was extremely knowledgeable, we learnt so much (who knew you could tell which handed an Elephant was from looking at its tusks). We stayed at the Greenfire Lodge where we had Elephants visit us. I cannot wait to go back next year, i wouldn't change a thing.

It was an unforgettable experience: the game drives were super. We were lucky enough to see 2x the big five. The stay in the lodges was very pleasant, friendly welcome and good food. Glen had prepared everything down to the last detail. In short, an experience to remember and beautiful memories with our family.

Glenn arranged for us a very entertaining program tailored to our family consisting of 3 little kids (12, 10 and 6 years), my wife and me. We had a splendid time as a family, an experience they can never take away from us. We were well guided on the route to our first safari experience in Balule, on this route we visited Pilgrim's Rest, Lisbon Falls, God's Window, the 3 Roudavels on the Blyde River Canyon with the Blyde River dam. This nature is exceptional! The next days we focussed on the safari at Balule were we could get very close to 'the big five' thanks to the rangers and their game drive landrover. The stay at Mohabetsi lodge was fantastic, we were treated as kings! We continued the safari at Kruger Park where we stayed for 3 days. The game drives there were also splendid and showed us other landscapes, vegitations and animals. The stays ad the Satara Rest Camp and the Skukuza Rest Camp were very nice. The last days of our vacation we stayed at the marvellous Hippo Hollow Hotel in Hazyview. There we did some family activities as quad biking, a meet and greet with elephants, a visit to the reptile park and an amazing zip-line adventure. We had a great holiday in South-Africa thanks to Glenn and Go Safari, for that they deserve surely our recommendation !

Go Safari exceeded our expectations. I've contracted with Glen in the past for day trips to Pilanesberg, and he handled our request for Kruger in a very professional manner. His guidance helped us choose the best experience for what we were looking for. Go Safari is very easy to work with and Glen is very responsive, especially on WhasApp. Glen was able to drive us out to Kruger from Joburg and in the process shared a great deal of the history of South Africa, and even the small towns we passed through. If I could rate Glen and Go Safari 6 out of 5, I would! Everything was well organized and flawlessly executed.

one word : AMAZING ! being so close to nature under the guidance of professional rangers is an unique experience when you love to see animals in the wild, in their own habitat. the managers and staff of the Mohlabetsi lodge live to make you stay as nice and good as possible and thanks to them we had a perfect stay ! we'll be back
