You will have the chance to taste Kalamata olives and olive oil, cheese, traditional succulent pork and vegetables, fruits, pastry products and pies, while learning about the Greek food culture, myths and stories and deepening your knowledge about Greece. You will find out about culinary and cultural traditions from the Ancient Greek times till today. Enjoy a personalised experience on this small group food tour and take home with you, memories that will last forever!

We had a fantastic day with Sarah. The small local shops selling products ranging from meat to cheese and olive oil to wine have given us an insight into the rich food culture Kalamata has. Moreover, Sarah was a pleasant hostess who did everything to provide us with a great experience. Thanks for everything!

We really enjoyed our tour with Dora, she is a wonderful tour guide with lots of knowledge about the Kalamata area. I would recommend this tour opportunity to anyone wanting a knowledgeable and friendly tasting tour of the area.

It was a wonderful foodtour with Sofia today. She was not only letting us try the best of Kalamata, but she was also a story teller, she was sharing how every shop came to be. Every place we went to had a piece of history and you will be visiting shops that have been running for some generations already. We recommend everyone to join this tour, it is a nice and authentic way to get to know Kalamata and visit the best places. Also very important, join the tour with an empty stomach! Haha

We walked locally around the old town of Kalamata . We met local bakers and sampled their food and were shown around the bustling market with helpful explanations of produce varieties and had tastings from traditional Greek dishes. We enjoyed it a lot and Dora was very personable.

We had a marvelous time on the food tour with our knowledgeable, interesting and fun guide Sarah. She arranged visits to historically significant, second- and third-generation owned businesses and told us the history behind each of the stops. We chatted with the shops' owners and even got some bonus behind-the-scene tours. The stories were fascinating and of course the foods were delicious: artisan-quality, produced on site, refined from many decades of experience, and full of fun surprises and extras.

This was a great way to see the city and experience the culture through food! Our guide, Dora, was amazing! We met locals, sampled local food from local shops, and we went on a Wednesday, a full market day, and got to experience that with Dora's insight! Definitely take your appetite, you will sample dozens of foods! We highly recommend this tour!

Last week we did this amazing tour together with Sofia and Sara and we felt extra special since we had them completely to ourselves! We learned many things about Greece in general, its cuisine, people also its culture and truly enjoyed the tastings, it was a grand experience and we would highly recommend others to try it out too! Thanks again Sofia and Sara for the lovely time and all the deliciousness you had to offer us, it was one of the highlights of our trip!

The food tour with Sofia was wonderful ! We learn a lot of things about Kalamata history. Sofia knows very well the city and the gastronomy. We have visited a lot of shops and the market. We have tested a lot of good specialities, meet nice people and spent really a great time ! 😀 It was like a dream 👍🙏 I recommend you !!!

This was a fascinating tour that took us to parts of Kalamata that we would never have discovered by ourselves. Added to that ,our guide Sofia knew where to find all the best local delicacies and interacted well with the vendors so that all our questions could be answered. You come away not only wiser about Kalamata and its food but also having a better grasp of local history and culture.

Sofia introduced us to Greek/Kalamata food culture by visiting several family owned food shops. We ate and drank very nice locally produced products. She was very pleasant as a guide and we got to see Kalamata. Overall a very nice tour.
