This course is done in a small-group setting with a maximum of 1 guest per Instructor. Enjoy an amazing diving experience open to everybody from 10 years old and up. You will experience the basics of scuba diving and have a great time.

Discover Scuba Diving is your chance to get wet and experience the excitement of scuba diving. This program is designed for those who want to try scuba diving with us without committing to a full certification course.

The try scuba program at our Dive Center takes only a few hours and begins with an explanation of basic diving theory, including equipment use, equalizing, and breathing techniques. After that, you’ll go into shallow water for acclimatization and skills practice, followed by a shallow dive to a maximum depth of 6 meters.

For DSD program, you are closely supervised by a professional instructor or dive master.

What To Expect

We cater to all skill levels and communities, not just PADI. This TRY DIVE TRIP is conducted in a group setting with a maximum of 2 person per instructor. Enjoy an amazing diving experience open to everyone aged 10 and up. You will experience the basics of scuba diving and have a fantastic time! Traveler pickup is offered. The tour is limited to 10 PAX in maximum, we dont use boat so can save time and avoid sea sick.

Chinese food is a bit basic but ok. However, there was no shuttle bus arranged for the return trip, and I drove without counting people, so I got on the wrong bus. Everything else was fine, so I made up the number of words.
Highly recommend! Better than we imagined.

Our trip was better than I imagined. The operator helped us to plan the trip from our hotel to the pier and the snorkeling spots also. It’s perfect to rent the speedboat as we already had some experiences of snorkeling on our owns before. Recommend for sure!

We have enjoyed our private trip a lot. We have visited 4 different swimming, snorkeling and relaxing spots. Nature was amazing and OnBird staff was professional and friendly. Great experience.

Words cannot describe the fun, friendliness and excitement that was a snorkelling trip with OnBird. The boat zipped along the coastline and took us to some of the finest beaches and snorkelling reefs left in Vietnam. The boat crew were helpful and friendly as they waited patiently for us to get on and off the boat, drink a bottle of gin and whatever else took our fancy. My friends and I would certainly recommend OnBird to anyone else who was considering a similar trip when in Phu Quoc. Bon voyage.

Very enjoyable trip for 6 of us. The organiser was easily contactable on WhatsApp and helped to sort the whole day. We were able to spend as long as we wanted at each site before moving on. Altogether a fantastic and very affordable trip. Would highly recommend!

Knowing OnBird via their posts shared by other expats in Vietnam related to Phu Quoc island guides, esp. snorkeling experience and coral reef beauty. We have been here, in Vietnam, for almost 6 months due to Covid-19 so we need to get out of the hustle & bustle of Saigon and we are keen on snorkels in some parts of Phu Quoc island. Unfortunately, the weather this time is sort of 50-50, it's hard to predict whether the water is calm enough for best snorkels. Even though OnBird team encouraged us to not join the tour this early September, we still insisted on doing it on our own without the guide. :) We came to the idea of renting their boat with a suggested itinerary and the captain with little English. (yes sure we did have some snorkeling experiences in Bali and the Philippines). Booked a 7-seater car to pick us up @our hotel then drop us off the port for boat embarkation. We had their remote staff provide us all the necessary information in advance and everything was going with the flow. Fortunately, we both enjoyed the snorkeling trip in South Phu Quoc. The sea was much more silent and relaxing than we thought. We saw so vivid coral reefs under the water that never in Vietnam we have found. Thought of ocean conservation & coral reefs protection a lot after getting back. Hope that tourists should be more aware of sustainable development before making decisions to choose a tour operator or any service provider for their holidays! Thanks OnBird for making our great getaway!

Being a Vietnamese, I know Phu Quoc island like the back of my hand as my boyfriend & me visit this Vietnam’s largest island annually. So early this year, my uncle’s family of 5 got back to visit Vietnam and Phu Quoc island can’t be missed out. We decided to rent a speedboat with a captain only to explore some off-the-beaten-track islands in the An Thoi Archipelago ourselves then we got OnBird to arrange the car transfer and speedboat with a knowledgeable captain with little English. We were 7 in total (with 2 kids under 4, free of charge, a big plus of OnBird). The boat is spacious, we were told its actual capacity is up to 20 or 25 adults and it’s right. We can't express enough how impressed we were with the service OnBird – a young company in Vietnam provided us. They were by far the most professional and friendly boat company I've ever used also, in comparison with other big names out there. The guy we contacted with at the first hand, explained us every relevant information in advance (detailed & tailor-made itinerary, what to prepare before the trip, safety-conscious from the get-go which is very reassuring with kids on board, what we could see on each island, what included in the price,...) and he even supported us remotely. We made an appointment on pick-up time & address in advance by email. After that, The car driver & the captain met with us punctually as scheduled. After embarkation, the captain (Vy) then followed the track correctly, all things happened as expected. It’s our pleasure to introduce OnBird’s service to either first-comers to the island (for the tour with their guide) or repeated visitors (with car rental and/or speedboat rental only). Sorry for keeping delay on leaving some words on our experience as It’s quite busy this time. Thanks, OnBird team again!
