"According to tradition, the main church was built in the place where Miadzin descended, Etchmiadzin. In Gregory's vision, Christ shows the place of the main temple with a golden hammer. The oldest cathedral in the world, founded in 303, was destined to become an important witness and participant in the history of the Armenian people. Being the most important center of the Armenian Church's world network, the Etchmiadzin Cathedral is now represented by a large area, including many old and new churches, secular structures, libraries, a seminary, etc."
Saint Gayane Church
The series of glorious churches of the seventh century continues with St. Gayane, which was founded only 12 years later than St. Hripsime. This church, built in 630, was built on the grave of a Christian virgin who died in Armenia at the end of the 3rd and the beginning of the 4th century, about 3 centuries after her death. The church was restored in 1652. There are many coffins in the yard, among them famous military and cultural figures of the Armenian people.

Great tour. I loved every minute of it and the scenery was spectacular. I hope to go on another tour very soon and hike up the mountain.

Fascinating tour full of interesting facts and meaningful explanations by our excellent guide, Gevorg, who pointed out the most unique architectural features of Etchmiadzin. Hripsime and Zvartnots. We all had a very relaxing, educational and fun day. I highly recommend this tour!

It was good to have a direct transportation to the sights and to have an explanation there. Unfortunately, our guide was far from being motivated for his job or interacting with the group or making an individual approach. Maybe he doesn't like his job. I guess sharing a taxi and having the attractions looked up online would have been a way, too.

Tatev is a very atmospheric place, opened up to us through fog and thick clouds. The cable car sank in the fog, sometimes showing below the amazing landscape. Yegor, our guide, gave a very lively and detailed account of the history of the place. Then we went to Hndzoresk. An unusual place whose history stopped not so long ago. The journey was completed at a work of art created by nature itself - a majestic waterfall.

Beautiful trip not only due to the chic nature of Armenia, but also the delightful guide Yegor. I was able to get interested in the story so that there was a desire to study it in detail in the future on my own. You can see that the man is professional and interested in his business. Spectacular nature, delicious food and an interesting tour!
