Depart from Tbilisi, journey through the beautiful wine region of Telavi, visit the ancient Alaverdi Monastery, then head toward Tusheti via the breathtaking Abano Pass. Upon arrival in Omalo, settle into a cozy guesthouse and visit the Visitors Center and the historic Keselo Fortress for an introduction to the region’s culture and landscape.
Day 2 – Alpine Villages of Pirikiti Gorge

After breakfast, drive to Que Viewpoint for panoramic views, then visit the legendary Tushetian villages of Dartlo, Kvavlo, Parsma, and—weather permitting—Girevi, the last accessible village near the border. Discover stone towers, untouched architecture, and timeless traditions.
Day 3 – Through the Wild Beauty of Gometsari Gorge

Explore the lesser-known side of Tusheti in Gometsari Gorge. Visit remote villages including Dochu, Bochorna (one of the highest permanently inhabited places in Europe), Iliurta with its hilltop church, and the scenic hamlet of Jvarboseli.
Day 4 – Highland Farewell: Diklo & Shenako ➜ Tbilisi

On your final day, visit Village Diklo and hike to the ancient ruins of Old Diklo, perched near the border. Explore the picturesque Village Shenako, known for its traditional stone houses and serene church. After lunch, drive back to Tbilisi, ending the journey with unforgettable memories.

5.00Well, where should I start? The four days experience of visiting Tusheti with our amazing guide Kartlos was just another level of exploring Georgia's beautiful nature, the historical villages with the unique towers and of course the hospitality of the Georgian people in the guest houses. I highly recommend to visit Tusheti with Tusheti Travel to also make this adventurous experiences!!
