  Another fantastic day out with Kerry Climbing, this time on the epic Cummeenapeasta Ridge. Not for the faint hearted, or for those with a fear of heights but Piaras has an incredible knack of instilling confidence in those in the group. He’s so laid back, yet so professional. An exhilarating scramble across one of Ireland’s most incredible ridges, the day was superb, the views were incredible and the sense of achievement afterwards was palpable. For anyone wishing to tackle some of the big Kerry mountains and looking for an expert guide, Kerry Climbing has to be the obvious choice. A really lovely, family run business providing epic experiences, and memories that will last a lifetime.

  Absolutely brilliant day out! First time doing a hike of this calibre but Piaras, our guide, was really friendly, knowledgeable about the area/climb, just great craic overall.   From the time we booked on line to being back in the car park after climbing Carrauntoohil Kerry climbing were very professional . The day we pick in October we couldn't have being luckier. Myself and the wife decided to do O Sheas Gully for the most changeling Route . Piaras was our guide for the day and was excellent , little did we know he was sizing us up from the minute we walked in from the car park on our fitness and ability to complete the climb. All throughout the climb he was given us information and history about the aera . Piaras was very helpful with my wife Joanne when we got to the tricky parts of the climb . He took lots of photos on the way and shared with us later . We took some nice breaks to take in the beauty of Kerry and were blessed with the day we got as we got to see for miles around . This experience to climb Carrauntoohil was excellent and all credit goes to Piaras and the Kerry climbing group . The climb is not for the faint heart but with a professional Guide like Piaras its a walk in the park . Myself and my wife had a great day the 7 hours just flew chatting and looking around its like you were transported into another world . I would recommend Kerry climbing to use for their knowledge of the mountain , knowing the routes and the dangers with climbing this mountain . Having a guide just made the day that much better and it took all the stress away . This was one of the things that we wanted to do for a while and feel its a great achievement. I plan on using Kerry Climbing to do anther adventure with the rest of my family . all in all great day made easier by having a great guide ,Thanks Piaras .

  Amazing experience! Our guide Piaras was very knowledgeable and made the experience very fun and safe. Everyone in the group was well-prepared and friendly which made it for a great climbing day. The walk was absolutely stunning and one of the most beautiful places I've seen in Ireland. Definitely would recommend this experience if you're interested in Carrauntoohil!

  This is my second time climbing Corrán Tuathail with KC. Apart from the obvious safety element, the guides provide a really interesting and fun experience that can not be matched by solo climbing. I have done both so I know. The knowledge of the history, lore, geology, ecology, etc that the guides share , add colour and texture and many dimensions to the climbing experience. I brought my two adult sons on the climb and Pearse our guide left them fully charged and ready for the next climb,

  I was determined to climb Carrantouhill on a recent trip to Kerry, but as a solo traveller in late October, I realised this was not to be underestimated. I'm so glad I decided to book on a guided group with Kerry Climbing. Pearse, our guide, really made it a great experience. He was friendly and very encouraging, but mindful of our health and safety as well as our enjoyment. Pearse had a wealth of fascinating local knowledge to share on the history, geology and wildlife of the mountains. It was a super experience and highly recommended. Many thanks!

  The guide was friendly, knowledgeable, encouraging, and overall just fantastic! He knew the land, the area, was able to give us some history of such, and this added to the overall experience. Despite not having the best weather, I had an incredible day and would recommend to any solo traveler who enjoys hiking!!
