They don't pick you up from the hotel or Caye Caulker. Our ticket said they'd pick us up from the hotel. The listing says they can. We even confirmed via chat that they would. Then when we reached out a couple of days prior to verify, they didn't respond. Then within the 24-hour no-cancellation period, they told us they couldn't and we'd have to book a ferry to Belize City to meet them. They did not honor or care that they told us they would prior to us booking and refused to even refund the portion we had to spend on the ferry to get to them.

I booked with Elios and it was super easy to pay and locate the area to park my rental car and take the river boat to the ruina. Julienne was our tour guide and he was very knowledgeable about all the different species of birds and types of animals. The boat wasn't really comfortable. It didn't have seat covers or a top, but I loved it. I highly recommend. Juliennes mom went to the market early in the morning and made our group the most delicious meal. I do recommend brining sun screen, a hat, maybe a sun shirt, snacks in your bag and lots of water. Maybe 2 liters even. Also wear comfortable shoes so you can climb the pyramids. I would book again!

This was altogether a great tour; from the car ride from the hotel to get on the boat; the boat ride to the Lamanai site; the tour of the mayan ruins and the lunch afterwards; everything was done in a very professional manner. The driver and the boat operator/guide were very knowledgeable and engagingly. The mayan ruins were fascinating and well worth the visit. The lunch provided was very delicious. All told, this was a very good experience and I highly recommend it.

A great day all round, Knowledgable friendly guides. The river trip was an exciting way to get to the Lamanai site their were brief stops on the way to take in the local flora and fauna, We were very lucky to have encounter with a howler monkey troop eating their lunch. at the temple. we also had a lovely lunch ourselves catered by the tour guides, The site itself was a perfect size to explore in the Belizian heat and we found the trip perfectly balanced.

This was one of the coolest experiences. We took this tour from a cruise ship and were picked up right from our terminal. We got to go on the fastest boat rides I have ever been on where the captain expertly manoeuvred through the river, along with pointing out different animals for us to look at. The ruins were so amazing to see and climb and we got to see monkeys. Lunch was amazing, we had the best potato salad I have ever had and there was plenty to go around! They made sure we made it back to the terminal for our tender you can trust them to figure out the logistics for you so sit back and have an amazing time! I highly recommend this tour for your Belize trip!

My partner and I had an unforgettable experience on the river and ruins tour with Ian. Ian spotted so much wildlife along the river which really got us excited and he was knowledgeable of the history of the area which made the ruins tour very interesting. There is also an enjoyable museum at the Lamanai site. The lunch was homemade from Ian's mother and it was delicious. The whole process was seamless even though we were traveling via van and boat. There were bathrooms at every location as well. Every person we encountered was kind. The car ride back to the hotel rocked us to sleep so the nap was a nice addition to the trip haha. We loved the experience and definitely recommend it to folks interested in nature, wildlife, and Mayan history.

Elio picked us up and dropped us off at the Lamanai river portion. He does not go with you on the tour. He has a large air-conditioned van. We were in the back so it was a little warm, but not too bad. However, we were very disappointed in the guide who took us through the river and ruins. I would suggest Elio only give his business to excellent guides and not random ones. In addition, we had told him ahead of time that we were going to be flying into San Pedro. He did get us there in time, but he acted like it was an inconvenience for our luggage and our airline drop off. We were also very disappointed that he dropped off a single lady and made her cross the street and walk to her place in order to get us to our flight on time. He could’ve easily dropped us off and then went back and dropped her off. It was only five minutes away.

nice but quick Two hours in the van, more one hour to pick up the persons, then two hours on the boat (nice) just for one hour in the ruins...
