An hour drive to the boat launch and then a very interesting hour boat ride to Lamanai. Delicious homemade lunch and an informative guide. Don’t know how often it happens, but our small group of 5 were the only visitors in the park. 3 main temples give you a good workout if you climb them. Small Visitors Center has a lot of info. A few small gift shops. Very worth the price.

I had such a great experience on the Lamanai tour. Our guide was fantastic — he showed us the little bats’ log, pointed out the monkeys, and gave us just the right amount of history about the ruins. What I especially appreciated was that he didn’t pressure us into listening to a long lecture; instead, he gave us the time and space to explore and take photos on our own. Being there in the off-season was a huge plus too — we practically had the park to ourselves and were able to take plenty of pictures without any crowds. The balance of guidance and freedom made the tour perfect. Highly recommend! It’s a much better experience and much larger than Altun Ha.

This family run tour company really delivered for us. They were super flexible when we changed our party size to add a few at the last minute. Pickup at the cruise terminal was super easy. There is always a moment of uncertainty when walking down the row of tour vans in various states of repair, but theirs was the nicest and quickly put us at ease. The trip to Lamanai is a bit longer, but the river boat ride was a fun way to break it up and the site is definitely worth the time. Lunch was delicious and plentiful. No issues getting back to port with plenty of time before last tender. They have my highest recommendation.

Javier and Junior made sure that we were comfortable and safe during our time visiting the ruins! Having a homemade lunch by their Mom was the icing on the cake.
