  The boat ride was fabulous! Lunch was absolutely delicious and the Mayan ruins were a once in a lifetime experience. Our tour guide Elion was a delight and gave us a great history of the area and the ruins. We had the best time!

  The tour staff were very helpful and made it easy to participate. It was a great tour and I highly recommend it! You'll want to bring plenty of extra water, sunscreen, binoculars (if you like birds), possibly bug spray, cash for tips at the end, possibly a windbreaker, and a secure hat for the boat ride (even a hat with a strap will not stay on). I took the water taxi from San Pedro and a driver, Sean, picked me up at the terminal, along with 2 other stops to gather a few others. Sean gave us an informative history and tour of Belize City and all along the route to where we met the boat. It was over an hour ride, including a pullover to view an iguana by almond fruits. At the Lamanai Tour boat location there is a restroom (don't flush t.p.!). Our tour guide and boat captain, Javier, was very friendly and extremely knowledgeable about the local flora, critters and birds (and stopped frequently on the boat ride to Lamanai, so we could view them and take pictures), and all about the history of the Mayan culture and ruins we toured. We were able to climb all 3 Temples that are open to the public right now - steep rocky steps and for the highest there was a set of metal stairways almost all the way to the top - great views! The lunch was tasty but it was a hot day and there was no extra water. There was very limited time to browse the museum and gift shops (so eat fast if that's important to you). Rides back were fast and efficient. Thanks for the tour!

  Great guide. Amazing new information. Opportunity to climb the temples. Best ever tour. Many more temples than expected.

  Would recommend visiting Lanmanai. Very interesting place and the river trip was fun but very windy at times - hold on to your hats. Make sure to hydrate well before departing.

  Great trip, great lunch! Wonderful boat ride to the Mayan ruins. Ian & Jr. were fantastic tour guides, sharing local history.
