What Sets This Safari Apart
This is no ordinary game drive—this is safari with a heartbeat. Venture into the wild on an open 4x4, then step off the vehicle and into the bush, where tracks in the dust lead you to Africa’s most powerful legend: the endangered white rhino. With an armed ranger by your side, you’ll move silently through the grasslands, every footstep drawing you closer to a face-to-face encounter few will ever experience.
Mosi-oa-Tunya National Park is one of the last places on Earth where you can safely track these giants on foot. Here, along the banks of the mighty Zambezi River, the land is untamed, unfenced, and alive with possibility. One moment, elephants cross your path; the next, a giraffe cranes its neck to watch you pass.
This isn’t just a safari—it’s raw Africa. Wild. Unscripted. Real. For travelers who crave more than distant glimpses and dusty roads, this is a chance to walk the ancient trails of giants and feel the wild pulse of the continent

Walk Among Giants: 3-Hour Safari in Mosi-oa-Tunya National Park Step beyond the ordinary with a 3-hour safari that begins in Victoria Falls and leads you deep into the wild heart of Mosi-oa-Tunya National Park in Livingstone, Zambia. This exceptional experience is guided by a professional, armed ranger and offers an intimate journey through one of Africa’s last truly unfenced sanctuaries. Ride in an open 4x4 safari vehicle, where every bend of the trail may reveal elephants on the move, graceful giraffes browsing the treetops, herds of zebra grazing in the golden grass, or even the park’s crown jewel—the critically endangered white rhino. But this is no ordinary game drive. Once tracks are found, you’ll disembark and set off on foot, carefully guided through the bush to encounter rhinos in their natural habitat, eye-level and unforgettable. Few places in Africa allow such a rare and respectful meeting with these mighty creatures. Transfers from Victoria Falls are included, making this a seamless adventure into raw, untamed Africa. If you’re seeking more than just sights—if you want to feel the pulse of the land—this is the safari for you.

We booked our Rhino Trekking through Savannah Adventures and it didn’t disappoint! After an incredible safari we went looking for rhinos. Our guides were great! Engaging & informative. We found the protected rhinos quickly and spend quite a bit of time observing them close up, along with a few very large elephants that were nearby. The guards answered all of our questions and explained about the protection program for the rhinos. It is definitely worth adding this tour to a safari! So glad Savannah Adventures offered this option!!

Our Rhino Trekking Adventure with Savannah Adventures was an unforgettable highlight of our journey — something truly special we’ll always cherish as a couple. From the moment we set out with our expert guide , we felt both safe and thrilled to be walking through the wild African bush. The only part that wasn’t perfectly smooth was the Zambian immigration — a bit unorganized and definitely on “African time” — but once we crossed, the magic began. Tracking rhinos on foot with armed rangers was absolutely breathtaking, but that was only part of the adventure. Along the way, we also saw elephants, wildebeest, zebras, hippos, crocodiles, antelopes, and majestic kudus grazing in the morning light. Every step offered a new sight, a new sound, a new sense of awe. Standing just a few meters from a wild rhino, surrounded by nature in its purest form, was an experience beyond words. They delivered not just a tour, but an authentic African journey — intimate, wild, and deeply unforgettable.

Seeing the rhinos up close was so so special and we did not enter their space too close nor arouse them so I loved that we looked after them in their environment. It did feel a little like a protected zoo because they were not roaming free but settled in the area they were in and safari jeeps coming and going which was a shame but this is also so poachers can’t kill them. The rangers accompanied us and they were super knowledgeable on the Rhinos ages, statistics and told us about poaching so that was great too. I wasn’t so impressed with the National park as it was filthy! Lots of plastic, bottles and rubbish everywhere. It’s also small so only do this trip if you haven’t done Chobe or other big parks nearby. Our guide knew that we had done Chobe so we didn’t care to see one elephant or a few zebra so he kept driving. Thanks for the rhinos!
