  A fabulous day snorkelling in three locations. Lots of colourful fish, including black-tipped reef sharks, giant clams, Nemo, and kauri shells. Yadi, our guide, pointed out many things we would have missed. Lunch was satisfying with the bonus of a visit from a monitor lizard. There were only three snorkellers and two divers on this trip; they usually keep the group size small. Captain Jack was excellent and helpful.

  I've been on snorkeling tours all over the place and it's been great. We went snorkeling in the morning, two places in the afternoon. Each one has a different atmosphere. The weather was nice, so all the places were beautiful. I land on the island for lunch, but you can choose from about 10 different menus. Kota Kinabalu is very close to the snorkeling point after leaving the port and the time to snorkel is long, so I wanted to go again.

  What a wonderful day on the water! We snorkeled all day around three different islands and had lunch. Each island had a different experience with reef or sand or wildlife. Each island had a different experience with reef, sand, and wildlife. Alex was a fantastic guide-thoughtful, friendly, and patient. He took pictures of us as a group and took our camera to get close up of something we really liked. The tour was inappropriate price for the experience. There were a five people in our group with the perfect. One member of our group was a first time snorkeler and needed some extra assistance and Alex stayed by his side to help him. I imagine having stopped in KK without spending a day in the water and I certainly picked the best trip. Alex, I have the video of the jellyfish with the crab in it, and it turned out great!   Amazing day out snorkeling with the best guide! I like that this company chooses different snorkeling sites based on weather and crowds. Our guide was incredibly informative and kind. We saw some amazing marine life such as reef sharks and sea turtles. Highly recommend!

  We joined this tour as a family of two seniors, four adults, and a 17-month-old toddler. We were pleasantly surprised to find that it was just our group on the boat—it felt like a private tour, which made the experience even more special. Our guides, Alex and Captain Azmi, were exceptional from start to finish. We felt very well taken care of, and Alex made us feel completely safe and at ease in the water. He communicated clearly throughout the trip, always giving us a heads-up on where we were heading and what to expect next. As it was our baby’s first time out at sea, we were especially grateful for how patient and accommodating both Alex and Azmi were. They gave us all the time we needed and never once made us feel rushed. A particularly memorable moment was when Captain Azmi kindly let our little one “drive” the boat—he absolutely loved it! During the snorkelling session, Alex went above and beyond to ensure everyone’s safety. He took great care of my mum, guiding her along while she held onto a life ring the entire time. His knowledge of the marine life was also impressive—he pointed out unique sights we would have otherwise missed, including octopus eggs nestled between corals. We were also lucky enough to spot a turtle and even a blacktip reef shark! We had such a wonderful experience and truly couldn’t recommend this company enough. It was thoughtful, safe, and incredibly memorable for our whole family.

  The Guided Snorkeling Day Trip in Kota Kinabalu is the BEST tour I've ever taken, and I don't say this lightly. There are many reasons, but first let me explain that I'm a skeptic. I expect these tours to be over crowded, expensive, restrictive, and a low value for the money. THIS tour was NONE of those things and it made me SO happy. --> The tour left from the DBKK Jetty, a much calmer launching point than the craziness of the Jesselton Point Jetty. --> We were on a large open boat with only three other people. --> We went to three off shore locations where there were NO other people. --> Didi and the Captain knew exactly where the best spots were. --> They supplied excellent quality snorkel equipment and non-fog liquid. --> We had a great Malaysian lunch served on the beach, again with few other people. (but one monkey) --> Our certified PADI guide named Didi was in the water with us the entire time, pointing out black tip sharks, sea turtles and even a highly camouflaged cuttle fish. --> There were endless colorful fish and HEALTHY coral gardens to see. --> We had 45 minutes at each spot and the boat followed us so we never had to swim back against the current to find the boat. --> We returned to the jetty safely and promptly at the end of the day. My wife and I have snorkeled for the past 30 years in too many locations to list (or remember). We usually like to have full control over the day, snorkeling from the beach, or taking a private tour. Those beach entry spots are becoming more rare and private tours have become very expensive. This tour was as close to our best memories of being in the water without crowds or large expense. I highly recommend this tour because the very high value versus cost. And here's why we initially booked this tour. A week earlier, we decided to go the "public" route. We bought public ferry tickets at the Jesselton Point Jetty and were loaded into a boat with 12 other people with the intention of seeing two of the islands in the Tunku Abdul Rahman Marine Park. They brought us to the WRONG island at first. We had to wait for another boat as we weren't allowed to enter the island that we didn't have a ticket for. At the second island, we had to rent really, really bad quality equipment and snorkel from the beach with lifejackets on, only within the roped-off area. It was terrible. On the second island, we again had to rent equipment and there was zero visibility. We wanted to return to Jesselton but our return ticket was for three hours later and we were not allowed to switch to another boat. So we sat on the beach, snack bar closed, no drinks, no food for three hours until we could return. It was a huge disappointment and we felt handled like lost luggage during the entire trip. Thank goodness for Borneo Dream because it restored my faith in the quality of snorkeling in KK and gave us a fantastic experience that was WELL worth the investment in having a great day on the water with Didi, fish, and turtles. I highly recommend this tour because the value versus cost is really, really high.

  Did a Guided Snorkelling trip and the experience is amazing. The crowd size is just right and the boat is spacious and comfortable. Boat captain Azmi was very attentive to our needs and ensured our safety and comfort. Our guide DiDi was super professional. He is friendly & patient and explained to us in advance on what to expect for each snorkeling spots before the actual dive each time. The snorkeling duration is just right for each dive and DiDi was always looking out for our safety as well as alerting us to various amazing sighting of the sea creatures. Would definitely patronise Borneo Dream Travel & Tours again if we have the opportunity!
