This guided trip will take you on one of Norway’s most popular and spectacular hikes. It is for good reason that this hike has gained its popularity with visitors to Norway and locals alike. Why don't experience Pulpit Rock in sunrice over the mountains and beat the crowd from daytime? Situated only a few hours from Stavanger, Pulpit Rock – or Preikestolen in Norwegian – is a towering cliff-plateau directly suspended over Lysefjorden. To stand (or sit) so close to the edge is probably the moment that hikers look forward to the most, although it is no easy deed. The top offers unobstructed views over the meandering blue fjord that was formed by the glaciers during the last Ice Age, making it a good spot to enjoy a photo session and possibly a light snack.

Very nice tour with a very knowledgable guide. We had a rain when we went there. I would like to go there again without the rain.

Cancelled 8 hours before tour was due to start . Reason for cancelling was that not economical for tour company since I was the only person on tour.

The hike was a great experience for all 8 participants of our group. It was exhausting to walk to the rock from the parking lot. We were traveling for about 2.5 hours. Our hiking guide regulated the pace well so that all of us came along and we made it to sunrise. There were three climbs to master. A great view and a special quiet atmosphere in the morning rewarded us when we arrived at the destination. There were very few people on the rock and we had the complete Preikestolen for us alone. Monika our hiking guide showed us the best positions to photograph and we had enough time to take all the wonderful pictures. The view and the ascent we made together were impressive, so we didn’t think it was bad that the sunrise wasn’t particularly beautiful to see. On the descent Monika led us over another smaller and beautiful path through the forest, it offers great views. At the end of the descent many hikers met us, who expressed their admiration for our sunrise hike. A great experience and a very good guide during the hike will stay with us.

Communication, pick up and drop off all smooth. Our guide was great, very encouraging and patient with me especially (the slowest of the group). The 3 of us really enjoyed the hike and the reward at the top was stunning.

Great hike with an excellent guide both friendly and interesting. The idea of doing this night hike is superb and having the opportunity to see the sunrise at the summit without the crowd usually present during the day is priceless. Hiking accessible to all and the guide adapts well to the abilities of each. I highly recommend. Definitely one of the highlights of my trip to Norway

Wonderful visit, completed this with my partner and was guided by the fantastic Benedicta. She was great with guiding us to the top and gave us great information about lsyefjord The word breathtaking is often thrown about very loosely but it was definitely accurate for the views at the top It was great value for money and I would definitely recommended anyone who is able to do it
