The marine reserve comprises four distinct habitats which are home to a diverse array of Indian Ocean wildlife: Humpback whales (July to September); three species of dolphin; (the world's largest fish); migratory and resident shorebirds feed and roost on the Island; approximately 600 species of coral reef fish.

I had the most amazing experience in Tanzania and Zanzibar. I hired Blue Tour for all of my sightseeing, and I highly recommend them — professional, organized, and they made everything effortless. We went out to Mnemba Island and swam with the dolphins, spent time at one of Zanzibar’s most famous beaches, and visited Salaam Cave, where we swam with the turtles in the clearest blue water. I also flew to Arusha, Tanzania, and the views, culture, and people there were absolutely breathtaking. The entire trip was transformative, adventure, peace, and perspective all in one. I’d do it again without hesitation.
