This is how Al-Muqtádir, king of the taifa of Saraqusta, described his newly built recreational home, the Aljafería Palace.
Since it was built in the s. IX, has had different owners and uses as a palace of the Catholic Monarchs, court and jail of the Holy Office or military barracks, until today as the seat of the Courts of Aragon.
This palace is an indispensable part of Spanish-Muslim art and is declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site within the “Mudejar Architecture of Aragon” complex.
In this visit we will see all the rooms open to the public and we will immerse ourselves in them thanks to digital recreations, photographs, sounds and smells that will transport us over the centuries.
Discover its long and complex history and by extension that of Aragon in the most complete visit to this monument.

Palacio de la Aljaferia
You will meet the guide in front of the ticket offices of the Aljafería Palace from there we will move inside to learn about the long and complex history of this monument.

5.00We did a free tour with Blanca through Civitatis called "Free tour of the mysteries and legends of Zaragoza". Blanca not only explains the story and gives you the data, she tells it in an immersive and enjoyable way, which makes the time you spend walking around Zaragoza spend in a sigh (Despite the Certainty hehe). We liked it so much that we booked with her for the next day and through her page the tour of the Alfajeria Palace, and as expected it was another success. Super recommended this guided tour company and highlight Blanca and her way of telling the story. No doubt if we return to Zaragoza we will repeat with them.

5.00We had a fantastic guided tour of the Aljafería Palace in Zaragoza. The guide was incredibly knowledgeable but, more importantly, made the entire experience fun and engaging from start to finish. They brought the history to life with great storytelling and even found creative ways to keep our 4-year-old entertained and involved, which made a huge difference for our family. It was the perfect balance of informative and enjoyable—highly recommended!

Thanks to its explanation, enjoyable and complete, full of details of history and art, we could enjoy a journey through the centuries of this marvel of construction.
