Stroll with our guide through one of the best-preserved baroque gardens in Europe - the Great Garden - with its over 300-year history and be inspired by delicate patterns made of boxwood, marble gravel and colorful flower borders. A special attraction is the grotto, designed by the artist Niki de Saint Phalle with colorful glass mosaics.
The city of Hanover owes this gem of baroque garden art to an extraordinary woman: Elector Sophie of the Palatinate. Inspired by the Sun King Ludwig XlV. She had the 200-acre garden laid out based on the French model at the end of the 17th century and made it her life's work.
Our guides will show you the most intricate corners of the Baroque garden, the garden theater, the Great Fountain and have all sorts of exciting information about the connection between Hanover and the English royal family.
Find out everything about the management of the extensive gardens.
