Join our local guides on a visit to the Icehotel and the village of Jukkasjärvi. In our small groups we will visit the original Icehotel, the oldest church in northernmost Sweden and we will meet the reindeer at Nutti Sami siida. Our Sami guide tells you more about the Icehotel, Kiruna's history and the Sami people, while you get to see some of the most visited attractions in Kiruna.

What To Expect

You will visit the original Icehotel in Jukkasjärvi and will after a short guidning get time, on your own, to discover the famous ice art exhibition.

This has undoubtedly been the best experience of the trip. I feel incredibly grateful that they shared their culture, history, customs, and religion with us. It felt truly special, to the point of bringing me to tears of emotion.

This was a great tour. The IceHotel was an incredible collection of ice displays in one room after the other. More than we expected! Jukkasjarvi was a pleasant surprise. We expected to enjoy the reindeer which we did but also the Sami church was charming. We must add that our guide (can't remember her name) was excellent - friendly and very knowledgeable. This is a great tour to learn what surrounds Kiruna and appreciate the Sami culture.

We had the pleasure of going on a tour with ScandinavianSamiPhotoadventures, guided by Erika and her colleague. They not only took us to the IceHotel but also gave us a wonderful insight into the local culture and history of the Sòmi people. The trip was truly unforgettable, and while the IceHotel was the final destination, we found the first part of the journey—focused on the local nature and culture—was the most memorable for us and our children. A big thank you to Erika for her professional and warm guiding!

Our guide Peter was amazing. He was very knowledgeable and informed us as we went through the Sami village and Ice Hotel. It was a masterpiece in a beautiful setting. I highly recommend the tour

The tour was better than expected, probably the best excursion we did, mainly because the guide, Ylva Sarri, was very enthusiastic and I highly recommend her, especially as she is Sami so she spoke from the heart. The village is set up for tourists but tastily done. The Ice Hotel is a marvel, it was a bit of a rush to see everything and all the sculptures though.

A great experience. Brief insight into the life of the seeds, including reindeer in the enclosure. Interesting also the oldest church in Lapland. The Icehotel is beautiful and there are so many details to discover that the time is way too fast to be true. Highly recommended!

I strongly recommend this tour for learning the Sami history and culture. Out guide and driver were kind and helpful. We visited Sami church, fed reindeers, went to Ice Hotel which is also captivating. Everything was great. I thank you to our guide and our driver for their company.

Such nice trip to the ice hotel, enjoyed the visit. It was really lovely place and experience. Guide Peter gave all information and shared knowledge about the church the sapmi culture. Ice hotel experience was good too , lovely ambience and creations. Overall a wonderful trip. Highly recommended.
