Begin your experience with a guided walk through Seongdong Market, a traditional local market loved by residents. As a local host, your guide will help you communicate with vendors, ask questions about unfamiliar ingredients, and understand how Koreans choose and use them in everyday cooking. If there’s any side dish or food that catches your eye, you’re welcome to buy and taste it like a local. Hosted in small groups to ensure personal attention, this experience is designed for travelers who want more than recipes — they want connection, story, and authenticity.

5.00From the moment we met Eunkyo at Seondeok K-Cooking in Gyeongju, we knew we were in for something special but the experience far exceeded anything we imagined. She welcomed us with such warmth and kindness that we instantly felt at home, like we were spending the day with a dear friend rather than attending a class. The market tour was an amazing experience. We had visited the same market the day before and honestly felt a bit overwhelmed and unsure of what we were looking at. But with Eunkyo guiding us, everything came alive. She introduced us to local specialties Gyeongju is known for, explained ingredients in a way that was both fascinating and easy to understand, and brought us to vendors who clearly adore her. Watching those interactions said everything about her! You can tell she’s a truly wonderful person who is deeply connected to her community. Then came the cooking class, which was nothing short of exceptional. Eunkyo has a gift for teaching. She made traditional Korean cooking feel approachable, fun, and incredibly rewarding. The food we created together was delicious, but even more meaningful because of the care and culture she shared with us along the way. This wasn’t just a cooking class! Everything was a magical, immersive experience filled with warmth, laughter, and genuine connection. If you’re visiting Gyeongju, this is an absolute must-do. We’ll be talking about this day for years to come.

And the food came out delicious!! Such a great activity to book if you’re in Gyeongju to break up seeing all the historical sights. Don’t miss out!!

5.00The tour around Seongdong Market was amazing, as I got to see what real Korean people buy and sell. The vibe was chill yet vibrant and colorful! Although it was my first time cooking Korean food, Eunkyo somehow managed to turn me into a decent cook! The process was so fun and got to learn more about the culture as well as the food from her. Definitely recommend it for anyone visiting Gyeongju!!

5.00We joined the class as a family with our child, and it was such a fun and educational experience. She made everything easy to understand, even for beginners. She is the sweetest person I've ever met. My kids were so proud of the kimbap they made! It was a great way to learn about Korean food in a hands-on way. Highly recommended for families visiting Gyeongju. The class started with a traditional market tour, which made everything feel authentic and special. The kitchen was clean, cozy, and beautifully designed.
