Aruba Ostrich Farm
The Aruba Ostrich Farm welcomes you to one of the largest living species in the world. Visitors are encouraged to partake in a guided tour of the farm, inhabited by both ostriches and their flightless Australian relatives, emus. The tour provides the opportunity to learn about the natural behavior and survival instincts of these amazing creatures through detailed information as well as personal encounters with the birds.
Donkey Sanctuary Aruba
Get the opportunity to mingle with some real locals at the Donkey Sanctuary. Founded in 1997 as a non-profit and completely volunteer run organization, their mission is simple. Save the Donkeys! Although not originally native to the small island of Aruba, they have existed here for 500 years having been the primary mode of transportation until cars began to be introduced on the island in increasing numbers. At that point, many Arubans no longer had the need for their formerly beloved donkey, and sadly in the 1970’s, a dangerous and rapidly spreading illness nearly caused their extinction leaving behind a population of only 20 wild donkeys.

This tour was awesome! From the Donkey Sanctuary, to the Ostrich Farm, and the Animal Garden. It was a great day to get to see Aruba and our tour guide Danny was great. Definitely recommend!

I guess I could have done without the donkey sanctuary. It does support the operation but if you've seen one ass you've seen 'em all. The ostrich farm provided a tour which gave a lot of interesting information. The Phillip's Animal Garden had a wide variety of tropical animals. Although not included in this tour, I can recommend The Butterfly Farm near Eagle beach.

It was a marvelous experience. The staff was knowledgeable and anxious to share with visitors. Have been to Aruba many times and somehow missed this stop. Each place was fascinating.

Great tour of three animal places! Danny, our driver, was fantastic. Gave us some interesting facts about the island as we drove from place to place. You can feed animals at all of the places. Get the shaved ice at the ostrich farm! Plan for 5 hours.

Our EL TOURS bus driver was friendly, knowledgeable and caring. We enjoyed the halfday tour of 3 Animal sanctuaries (Donkey, ostrich and Phillips had multiple animals). He picked us up on SATURDAY FEB 7th around 9:15 and we were back before 2pm and it included all admissions, there were no extra costs and we had enough time at each stop TIP: Bring a bag of sliced apples and carrot sticks and wear a hat and sunscreen. The OSTRICH and emu farm facility and tour lady (brown hair and former Dutch military) was the BEST! They had a surprisingly elegant, shade-covered large pavilion-RESTAURANT (open 11am-2:30 pm approx w chalkboard menu). It could be a great Venue for a birthday party or other celebration ). You can order a ostrich egg meal that feeds 6 people or a single sandwich, frozen treats use restroom, gift shop and also see parrots, ducks, peacocks, turkeys...... At Phillips they had a wide variety of animals and the large tortoise, kangaroos, miniature and baby goats and monkeys were fun to see. The scenery on the way to each place was also enjoyable. You can also arrange a UTV tour from their office at Phillips.

We did the animal sanctuary guided tour during our cruise stop a couple of days ago. Our guide Danny was wonderful! He would point out highlights and offer history and information when appropriate. He knew lots about each stop and fully informed us about what to expect at each place. Bonus points for always having cold water available. We didn't like the Phillips Animal Garden as much. It felt a little too much like a zoo but they did have lots of animals. The donkey sanctuary was our favorite. The ostrich farm was very interesting with good guides. This is a great tour for animal lovers.

I went on the 9am tour on 1/24 and I had the absolute best tour guide. In between locations he’d stop and give us little fun/ historical facts which was a lovely little surprise. All three locations were fun but I LOVED the animal sanctuary, especially the goats. This is a great tour, I totally recommend it
